My father has been in the military for a good portion of my life. He's been deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan and was scheduled to redeploy to Afghanistan in January.

He texted me a couple days ago to say he was getting out of the army in December, and not going back.
I wish he'd never had to go to those places to begin with. If only we'd had a Ron Paul in office in those years, the years before, and every year since.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go cry over nothing and blame the baby.
