Under the Bush administration, the Republican Party has increasingly drifted from its limited-government roots. Instead, it has come to be dominated by a new breed of "big-government conservatives" who believe in using an activist government to achieve conservative ends - even if it means increasing the size, cost and power of government, and limiting personal freedom in the process.

The difference in the two camps is as clear as the difference between Ronald Reagan's saying, "Government is not the solution to our problem; government is the problem," and George W. Bush's saying, "We have a responsibility that when somebody hurts, government has got to move."

As my name suggests we can win,. we have to believe, have conviction and don't let the media convince us AND the rest of the undecided voters Ron Paul can't win. BTW, Iwas struck by this comment:

Mike Huckabee may be an even bigger spender than President Bush, and he never met a tax increase he didn't like.

I was unaware of this, but if so, this is of strategic importance because I believe the Huckabee voters is who we must convince to go with Ron Paul. Anyone have information which illustrates this comment?

I liked the article. It was very fair towards Ron Paul. I think we have done well in bringing up legitimate issues into the national political discourse. I now see even in my hometown paper in Panama City, FL more liberty oriented opinions in the viewpoint section on Sunday. We are winning the battle of new ideas no matter how much our enemies deny. Everyday it seems more and more people are waking up to Liberty!
