Wait a minute...read what I have to say before you blast me...

I'm not advocating RP change his positions. I'm simply saying that he's got the anti-War Republican vote locked up and that garners him around 8% of Republicans. It appears to be a ceiling. RP is not moving up while Huckabee has surged from 2% to 20%. This shows that Republicans aren't happy with Rudy Mc Romney and would like to support someone else. Can you imagine if Ron Paul had the exact same economic positions he does (eliminate income tax, etc.) but looked more like a Hawk? Republicans would be wildly enthusiastic about him.

Therefore, I think he needs to talk more about how his is in favor of a strong military, the Strategic Defense Initiative, other weapons systems. He needs to talk more about his military service. He needs to cast his position as saying that America's security will be better and our military will be stronger if we focus on protecting our homeland instead of doing Clinton-style nation building all around the world. Same positions but better packaging.

We also need to get the Christian Conservatives behind Paul since they also don't like Rudy Mc Romney. They are a huge chunk of the Republican party. They show up like an army at the polls. If you doubt it, I'll say it again, Huckabee 2% to 20%.
