I know the June 5th Moneybomb has caused some turmoil/controversy here in the forum, but I thought I'd throw out the idea of all the RonPaulForums.com members coming together during 1 Hour to Max out or contribute as much as you can to show what this forum is capable of.

Perhaps that one hour will raise MORE than the other 23 hours combined showing the grassroots efforts of the forum are a pretty powerful force that we know it is.

A Moneybomb within a Moneybomb if you will.

20:12 ET to 20:12 CT

That is...

20:12 ET to 21:12 ET (Eastern Time)
19:12 CT to 20:12 CT (Central Time)
18:12 MT to 19:12 MT (Mountain Time)
17:12 PT to 18:12 CT (Pacific Time)

If you don't like it that's fine.

If you do just DO IT...No need to register your email with me, no need to give me any of your personal information...just go directly to the official Ron Paul campaign website: http://www.ronpaul2012.com to donate between 20:12 ET and 20:12 CT

Ehh, its kind of hard to coordinate all RPFers to donate during the same hour. Inventive idea though

True, the only way is if they read this, decide to do it and set a reminder/alarm on their cell phones/computers or spend the evening here in the forum that day.

It would be something special to see a million or 2 in an hour. 500 maxing out gets 1Million.

I don't think this is a good idea. It almost surely would bring down the campaign's server. That leads to frustration and lost donations.

has anyone ever had the idea of a two day Money bomb? It would bring in more money. I like the idea of the one hour bomb as well.

Didn't they have at times thousands of people donating in an hour during the 2007 moneybombs not to mention the traffic just from people going to check the ticker. I'm sure I read somewhere they had 5000 or so people donate in one hour. Correct me if I'm wrong.

RPF members could 1/4 that hour into 4 blocks of 15 minutes where east 1st, central 2nd, mountain 3rd, pacific 4th and just max out.

we had mini bombs during past moneybombs...they went fine

Use your time more effectively. This won't be too effective. You can do better for RP. Poster your local town boards!

This.

Don't scramble your brains too hard for ideas. That leads to brain fatigue and causes you to come up with bad ideas ;)

You know i like the idea but this dude is right. It could F things up if we did it right and that would contradict the hole damn thing.
But props must go out because i like the hour idea just didn't think about the computer end of it.

Thanks for the laugh. I can assure you I didn't spend the last 4 years coming up with this. I wasted about as much time as you did posting your reply. I tried to give those of you who didn't agree an out so you wouldn't waste the time replying by saying "If you don't like it that's fine."

If I posted in every thread that I thought was a waste of time (the majority of the posts are wasted time), it would be pretty funny cause that would waste a lot of time.

Also, I don't think it'll waste anymore time donating at 20:12 than it would at 12:00 unless you've had a few too many drinks.

In fact ONE large donation as opposed to many small ones throughout the day saves time, and saves the campaign money because each transaction has fixed transaction fee subtracted from it on top of a percentage.

I was trying to give people an option to donate on June 5th who otherwise may not just because of the conflict with a certain person who was running the website for June 5th. I thought it would get them to still take part on June 5th, but as a RonPaulForum.com group.

500-1000 or even 2000 people maxing out in an hour will NOT bring their servers down.

I run a large amount of websites with large email lists and I tend to spend more time coming up with unique ways to present Ron Paul to them.

Funny thing is I have a left-leaning site with about 80% Americans and an even larger right-leaning site with about 90% Americans. (Don't ask why I run 2 totally opposite sites because it started out as a joke MANY years ago) For each site I have to approach it in a different way when when presenting Ron Paul. Left I pick out Ron's ideas that would appeal to them. Right the same thing.

I even have a smaller religious site that I try to present Ron Paul when I think it's appropriate in a way that would appeal to them.

You can see by my post total here that I don't waste time posting on the forums, I don't use this forum to SPAM my sites to try and profit from you guys. I pop in now and again to see if things are any more organized from the last time I was here to see what everyone is directing their efforts to and I try and help out through my sites getting Ron's message out, promote events, geo-target local events when appropriate, without trying to appear like I'm shoving it down their throats.

Like I said, no one has to donate at 20:12ET to 20:12CT if they don't want to, if those of you who didn't want to donate that day decide you want to take part in this GO FOR IT.

Have a great weekend everyone :)
