Ron Paul est-il une réelle menace pour “eux”?

I feel bad for the French, Sarkozy looks more pro-authoritarian than Dubya.

The French are either socialists or fascists. They don't seem to realize that there are other choices.

A lot of my French friends tend to be libertarian on the social side, and somewhat socialist on the economic side (free services for all, but not flat-out income redistribution).
It hasn't been too authoritarian there yet the way it has in Sweden, but I think Sarkozy may change that to be more in line with what EU leadership wants (which is a totalitarian state, where EU nations are basically in the same position as US states, with the EU itself as the monolithic authoritarian federal government over them all.)

Sarkozy was the lesser of two evils. Royal would have run the country down the drain just like Chirac did (horrible president btw).

Evil female socialists running for high national public office... gotta watch out for those, dangerous, I tells ya! But on a serious note, I know Royal was crap in that her policies would've killed an already ailing economy (look at the Netherlands economic problems - socialism seems to put an awful lot of poor people out of jobs), but Sarkozy is going to do a lot of bad to the French people in his own way. What'd be really funny though, is if Sarkozy sends a bunch of French military to Iraq... then we elect Ron Paul and pull ours out, leaving the French behind. I LOL.
