Ron Paul has declined an invitation to speak at CPAC so that he could continue running hard on the campaign trail. Rand is being sent instead!

Interesting. We should still go and make sure he wins the straw poll. :p

I feel this is a huge mistake. The coverage you get alone is worth it.

Good. Aren't you guys sending Rand to caucus states too? I think I read that somewhere.

He is a better speaker anyways, no offense Ron.

Depends on the audience. For conservative audiences, Rand is certainly better, but if it was an audience of young people or independents, I would send Ron a million times before I would send Rand.

So is Rand speaking on Saturday? Most of us seemed to be inclined to purchase the one-day ticket for Saturday.

I think he might as well skip it.

The Republican establishment already knows that Ron Paul has dominated CPAC in recent years. They're probably already thinking of ways to ignore a Ron Paul win (again).

It's really sad, though, that so many 'conservatives' suddenly lost interest in CPAC once Ron Paul won. It used to be the 'national fair' of the GOP; so much hullabaloo. Then Ron Paul wins, and they're like, "you know what I just realized? CPAC sucks."

It's almost laughable how quickly the establishment was able to turn off the importance of CPAC.

Glad Rand is at least going to speak. Do Ron supporters still show up to vote?

Will Ron be on the ballot?

That would be great if he could skip it and still win it.

"Ron Paul skips CPAC, still wins presidential straw poll for third year in a row"

This is what the headlines must read the next day!!

While the others are making phony, pandering speeches at CPAC, our guy will be out meeting real people and discussing their concerns. Go Ron Paul!
