Ron Paul Channel — What a Blast!

Although it took a while for the Blaze to get like it is now, it was offering a bunch of content already from the start. You had Glenn's 3 hour radio, plus the 4th hour with Pat and Stu, Liberty Treehouse, Glenn at 5, and then the Real News at 6. Within a month there was 4-5 more shows. Soon after, it was 24/7. Then it was being offered on cable. Then it was offered free on many cable stations. Finally, in late 2012, it was being broadcast on Sirius XM radio on its own channel.(aka, The Blaze Radio)

Ron could adopt one or more of the few liberty-oriented talk radio hosts (or podcasters... or Ben Swann) and imitate such a model. IMO there are many options that are better than this one.

But who knows... maybe they will see the error of their ways and let the guy who's uploading it to youtube go on doing it. Then it *might* work out well for them.

I think the OP and some in here classifying us that are not subscribing as moochers are missing the point. It's not that I don't think the content is worth it, it's that I don't agree with the strategy.

I know many of us, including me gave RP 08 and RP 2012 hundreds, if not thousands of dollars, even when it was obvious Ron had no chance of getting the nomination.

Why? To spread the message, to as many as possible. But this channel's strategy ends up being a preaching to the choir type deal that is almost cultish. I want Ron's good word broadcast everywhere and I would happily pay to give him and us that opportunity.

I honestly would have liked to donate to and advertise the channel (make bumper sticker, signs: RonPaulChannel.com) but it feels like that'd be a waste if there's a paywall.

Now, of course I'm torn about this. I understand all the overhead costs and I don't expect anyone to do charity work. But the reality today is that the value of content has become so cheap, it'll be hard to compete or succeed in the market place.

If the channel made content free a week later to all comers, I'll subscribe. Even if they put it on YT a month later, I'd subscribe. But if they use the same strategy of preaching to the choir and holding on to all content exclusively, and with a paywall, I find it hard to justify as an additional expense since all content will be hidden in an echo chamber.
