Ron Paul Campaign to Air Television Ad ‘Plan’ in Hawaii

Upbeat 30-second spot touting Dr. Paul’s economic blueprint for America to air in the Aloha State

HONOLULU, Hawaii – The Ron Paul 2012 Presidential campaign announced today that it will air its 30-second television spot ‘Plan’ in Hawaii beginning tomorrow to solidify Dr. Paul’s islands support base ahead of the Tuesday, March 13th caucus.

‘Plan’ will air from Thursday, March 8th through the Hawaii caucus on the 13th on cable television and select broadcast outlets.

The 30-second spot ‘Plan’ begins with the declaration that Ron Paul is “a visionary who predicted the financial crisis.” Upbeat and hopeful in its tone, the ad centers squarely on Ron Paul’s path-breaking ‘Plan to Restore America,’ an economic blueprint for the nation that continues to earn high marks from fiscal experts, analysts, and political pundits.

“Ron Paul’s ad ‘Plan’ is an ideal one to air in Hawaii, with its pleasant climate, because it helps separate him from the ‘fair-weather conservatives’ who are unwilling to make the tough decisions that will get our country back on track,” said Ron Paul 2012 National Campaign Chairman Jesse Benton.

“Ron Paul is the only authentic conservative in the race and as demonstrated by his taking the long view toward the Hawaii caucus and other contests, he is the only candidate besides Mitt Romney with the resources and stamina to run an exhaustive 50-state campaign,” added Mr. Benton.

how or who do we talk to to get this message to the campaign? i can't believe they didnt talk about social security/medicare. i know this was made a while ago, but they could, like you said, dub in that very very crucial part of social security/medicare. it would be a big difference.

Agreed. If they can't re-record a new voiceover for that moment, they could at least re-edit it so it simply says "END FOREIGN NATION BUILDING," because obviously the anti-war people will know exactly what we mean while the traditional GOPer (who believes the foreign wars are keeping them safe at home) will also agree with the new phrasing because it's a heck of a lot more palatable (and makes them think, "yeah, win the wars, then come home; no foreign nation-building").

let the campaign know before its too late to change ;< its ike 1-2 more days till it gets aired.

Love that ad, I think they never pointed out how Ron Paul predicted the economic collapse... imo a missed opportunity

This campaign just doesn't get it. How could such qualified people NOT know how to properly campaign?

For example, they run ads in Idaho and North Dakota and yet none in Virginia. The campaign strategy MUST match the effort and turnout of voters. For caucus states the money should be spent on the ground game and visits to that state and offices, and phone banks etc. These voters are few and require the careful attention (hand holding if you will) in order to turnout the vote. However, in Open Primaries you need mass media; a simple nudge in your direction since casting a vote takes only a matter of minutes, and when compare to a caucus a much higher turnout occurs.

So why then does the campaign have it completely backwards, and the poor results to show for it? For example, EVERYONE has a cell phone and that is why there are so many commercials for that industry. That example represents the open primary, when "more of the general population votes". And by comparison you almost never see a TV ad for the boating industry - why? Because only a small percent of Americans own a boat or want a boat. Use that example as the Wyoming Caucus where 0.4% of the population voted.

So you need TV ads in Virginia and other open primaries for the masses, and a different marketing tool (offices, d2d, phonebank, etc.) for Caucus states. Ron Paul's campaign is the company foolish enough to run TV ads for boats... possibly even TV ads for helicopters - it does not work. 99._% of the people watching your ad NEVER had any intention in voting at all.

Isn't that NEWTRON's home base of GOP supporters? I mean, he went there for a fundraiser and we all know the bastion of conservatism in Hawaii.

Ronnie Paul is a future liberty candidate. I remember reading an article not so long ago where he declared an interest in following Rand into politics.
