I think it's a very good idea for Rand! And he needs to keep it simple with his economic plan!

Underdog in Republican nomination, but not in a general election. This is why they arent polling Rand against Clinton anymore because Rand was dominating Clinton more than anyone else. They dont want to give him material to use to say "I'm the only one who has been proven to be able to beat Clinton. Voting for anyone else, means voting for Clinton".

Anyone know if it's possible for Rand to pay a company to do national head to head polling? Then again I guess the media would say since it's paid by Rand that it's rigged

Political polls are typically paid for by media outlets or candidates. A national scientific poll may cost just $10,000 plus or minus change. Usually the polling firm will include or exclude whatever candidate or questions the sponsor wants, and will not publish the results if the sponsor doesn't want them to (that is, if the results are not helpful to them). So Rand could definitely pay for one that was flattering to him, or keep the results unpublished if they turned out not to be.
