The organizers for the Paul Festival (www.PaulFestival.com) will initiate a campaign to get the venue released to us on Monday. We ask everyone in the movement to please help by initiating phone calls and e-mails to the RNC Monday June 4th, at 12 Noon EST if no announcements are made that they have released the venue (we will post here if they do).

Please feel free to extend the campaign to any other organizations that may also be able to help. For example, the Mayor of Tampa may be willing to help apply pressure on the RNC once he realizes the potential loss of economic opportunity from hundreds of thousands of Ron Paul supporters coming to his town. Any other organization that might be able to help should be invited as well. Thank you!

Read the Washington Times article here for details on what's going on:

UPDATE: As of yet, we have heard no response from the RNC. We even made a last minute attempt to reach out to them by phone. To the best of our understanding these individuals are the ones in charge of making the decision to release the Fairgrounds. Please be polite and respectful if you decide to reach out to them, and thank them for their assistance in helping to spread the message of Freedom & Liberty.

I highly doubt they plan on leting another Rally for the Republic go on. You'll have to move the venue and we'll have to hire busses to get protesters. Tampa is where we make our stand.

If they don't let us have our festival... we could always have a demonstration/protest instead. Surely, a "democratic" country will allow peaceful protests.

from hundreds of thousands of Ron Paul supporters coming

I hope people don't tell the mayor or the mayor's office that. Fantastical numbers like that will likely make the mayor take us less seriously.

What you don't think a half million people want to brave 105-degree Florida heat on an asphalt parking lot just to hear Kokesh overmodulate a bullhorn?

Doesn't sound that tough to me. A lot of people have worked their asses off to become delegates, knowing full well they will be going to FL in August. Oh, the horror.

One way to cool poeple off is have fans blow water mist on everyone or water pressure will be enough, you have tiny little holes in hose pipes and it works really well for the heat. or you have cooling off zones where you can walk through a water mist path, they have them here in South Africa in some places.

Florida is always under some water usage restrictions. That might get them in trouble.

For me its very important that they have this close to the convention, is there no private land owner or university where we can bypass the RNC, TAMPA is the last stand. There are billions of Euros leaving Spanish banks everyday (bank runs) and MSM doesn't cover it, Greece will vote 17th June and we'll know if they still in the Euro and the new socialist French leader that Obama seemed to get on very well with is trying to get Germany to print more Euros and start up Euro bonds.

FIGHT TILL THE END!!! TAMPA IS THE ALAMO.... to all those that want to build the party, fine do it, but there is no harm making a stand at TAMPA just incase.

well they can keep it to paths or cooling off zones, trust me its not that water intensive, its a very very fine mist and if they don't want to waste water they can buy proper pipes as opposed to home made pipes with some dude slashing away with a steak knife leading to fountains coming out.

Won't the delegates be inside? Where it's likely air conditioned? And the delegates are there for a reason.

Nah.

Cities carefully manage "protesters" during a national convention and corral them into "free speech zones".
