Democrats will win and the cycle will continue

Next time will be different!

Midterms will be 50/50. Republicans will keep the House or Senate while the Democrats will win back the House or Senate.

Only if this bill is changed or fails. I expect the "Rinos" of the Senate to stop it.
They would easily lose both if they remove 76 milion Americans health coverage to pay for things like AI and Military

That article says 7.6 million would lose coverage *by 2034*.

But how many of those would lose coverage by the next election?

Would any at all?

Or is this just make believe cuts that will only actually happen if future Congresses choose to actually make those cuts when those future budgets get voted on, which everybody knows they won't do. Meanwhile, there are no cuts happening this year or next year.

Cutting Medicaid would be a great thing if it were actually happening. But I am pretty sure it isn't.

Glad you agree. Not that we're applauding. It's just so freaking obvious.
I don't understand your point, are you saying Republicans shouldn't be looking at Medicaid reforms, like eliminating fraud and the over 1 million illegal aliens that shouldn't be receiving benefits in the first place? If they pass the tax cuts now, people will be better off and should help the Republican turnout vote in the mid terms. But if they fail to enact anything from the Trump agenda, Republican voters will stay home and Democrat turnout will be higher, so they will retake the house, but the Senate will remain Republican majority for at least a couple more election cycles.

I don't want to get drawn into a wicked long talk about what I think is right or wrong, this is purely a political observation.
Last time the GOP held both houses, they lost them both after they cut 5.8 Billion in Medicaid.
Now, they want to cut 800 billion. This is easy to predict what will happen, even if it's passed, it won't take efffect in time
but it will be how the Democrats take power back. The only way the political damage can be mitigated is if the Senate
modifies the bill significantly enough. Concerning the "Trump Agenda", it sure doesn't look like he needs Congress for it these days.

I'd agree if it weren't for the disarray that the Democrats are currently in. The two big things they're dealing with are:
1) Democrats trying to distance themselves from having known about Joe Biden's decline, and helping to cover that up.
2) The Young vs Old divide in the Democratic Party. If you don't understand that divide, then check out some of these postings. David Hogg is going to be funding "young" alternatives to old guard Democrats in what are considered "safe" Democratic districts. But if he prevails, those districts may no longer be safe to Democrats. And then there's the alienation that young Democrats may feel based upon the attempt (and probable success) of removing Hogg from his Vice Chair position on the Democratic National Committee.
