Republican Hegseth (Kurt Bills' opponent) is out of U.S. Senate race. For good.

Marianne Stebbins (can't remember her forums name) posted on FB that she couldn't figure out why the GOP had run Hegseth in the first place, since he didn't stand a snowball's chance. She rationalized it was to put him through the paces of a Senate race, then they could bring him back for a run against Franken.

that is essentially what Slate said as well. Hegseth was to be given a race he wasn't supposed to be able to win, for practice.

amy klobuchar is who he'll go up against isnt it? She's got TONs of Dfl money behind her.

If its Al Franken, anyone who is a "traditional" republican still thinks he cheated to win. They'll vote for whomever the republican is in vast numbers.

Either way there will be tons and tons of money floated around in this one. Kurt will need our support.

Hegseth is CFR. Bills can beat Klueless Klobuchar if he doesn't waiver from (Ron's) principles.

Scribbler De Stebbing.

Yep it's all about building an organization which the MNGOP doesn't really have at the moment.

I have casually advised Kurt and his Campaign because the Twin Cities was my territory during the RP2012 endeavor in MN. There are some other things, but essentially Kurt needs to beat up Amy on the lefty stuff such as wars, NDAA, SOPA/PIPA, wiretapping, etc, and he needs to spend all of his time in the cities discussing those issues. Since he is a "Ron Paul Republican" it is natural for him to do and it won't be seen as him crossing over to the left. He has the Republican / conservatives locked up, he has to sour the Democrat base on Amy though.

There is a big problem though because there is a gay marriage referendum on the ballot and Minneapolis is one of the gay population centers in the US which means they will be mobilized and chances are they will be voting Democrat down the ticket. Also Kurt voted in the legislator to have this put on the ballot in November.
