Finally someone said it. How is yet another ID going to stop a terrorist? Any terrorist will have a clean record and they won't use anyone that can be traced. Just another step toward China style total fascist state control.

It is a centralized national database, the first of its kind unless you are a criminal. Then later they link it to a CBDC currency and your facial recognition scan. There is NO good purpose it serves with regards to airport security so all the reasons for deploying it are bad. We don't do national IDs in America.

Another Executive Order, Mr. President.

MASSIE: "Real ID isn’t needed and won’t stop terrorists from hijacking planes. Most of the 9/11 hijackers held Saudi, UAE, Egyptian, or Lebanese passports.Real ID is a national standard and database of IDs that is primarily a tool for control of Americans.Trump shouldn’t enforce it."

I've had a Texas drivers license since the early 2000s. At some point it automatically reissued with updates to be real ID compliant. I didn't do anything or provide any additional personal information. How is everyone having a real ID different from having just a state driver's license?

Yeah, but not a hill I'd die on. They gots all kinds of tools already. What's one more?

And one more, and then another one more, and then yet another one more...

Sure, as long you and others sit by the side lines. What's one more?

The mentality of the Rust Belt: "Yo, where's the ball!"

If it's no big deal than why are they pushing it so hard? And it's the simplest thing in the world to fight. Just say "no" and Ron and Nancy used to say. Just don't comply. Flying is overrated anyway. If you need to fly you can get a passport. And the government has already back down a little by saying that you can still fly without Real ID or a passport but it will just take longer at the airport. Rather than being a hill to die on it's a hill to live on.

I agree with everything that you said, except for the part "Flying is overrated anyway". I don't want to live under a rock and I enjoy all of the wonders of the world. I only got one life to live ;-)

Real ID was rolled out basically 10 years ago

It's a little bit late to be saying we should be doing something about it
