Reality Check: Did Mitt Romney Really Secure GOP Nomination With Texas Win?

What happened to the thread coffee was posting in? Tried to make a response to it and it seems the thread has disappeared.

I have to say that that is totally outrageous. Dr. Paul's entire campaign is based on liberty and freedom and here we have mods deleting posts and stifling debate. This kind of behavior is incredibly damaging to Ron Paul's campaign. It's no wonder that things did not go better.

I disagree with you on that. They saw a post that was out of control. Romney supporters were in there taking cheap shots to try and weaken us.

coffeewithchess is not a Romney supporter. Stifling debate has NEVER led to positive outcomes, even though the mods were being well-intentioned.

the real delegate website seems to have the closest count, but they seem to make the mistake of assigning Romney-bound delegates to Paul. I sent them an e-mail to clarify and will post here when I find out if that's the case.

I see a lot of ppl here dismissing the announcement that Romney won without a second thought. This is just crazy, this is something that can be verified with a careful counting, there's no reason to assume one way or the other what happened.

If they are assigning Romney bound delegates to RP, that means they know of particular delegates that are undercover and plan on exploiting the fact that all the delegates are unbound in Tampa.

Wasn't that blog post responded to by Ben Swann who said they are indeed unbound? Or is that a post made after that coverage, not sure of the dates.

Do not mistake shilling and trolling and FUD mongering to be honest debate. We know the difference after being assaulted for four plus years with them. Mind you..I did not read that thread but that is a general word of caution around here. This is serious trillion dollar shit so expect the control matrix to do it's best..

With 97% of the vote in, Romney is hovering around 68% and 69% -- under 70% is embarrassing, so they will make it be 70%.

NBC's headline calls him the "Projected" Nominee! He's always been the projected nominee as far as they were concerned, but they don't get to vote at the convention.

I don't really think a mod doing his job is going to damage Ron Paul's campaign.

And truth be told this forum is really rather welcoming. I, an overt non-supporter of Dr. Paul, have never had one of my posts deleted and have only been warned once for something I said.

Im sorry but I think this needs to be FRONT PAGE.

Our supporters NEED to know about things like this. We are all just people, and the obvious Media Favoritism and Blackout on Ron Paul does have a tremendous impact, even on our Forum Members!

Aside from that, I think they are doing this because they expect that by continuing to do so will allow the RNC to throw their full weight in supporting Romney. I like the way it turned out for them in Mass, Nev, Iowa, etc.

You're correct. The media however by not doing their job has DRASTICALLY affected Ron Paul's campaign.

Right again. If you don't mind me asking whom do you support? I ask because I would love to hear a non Paul supporter's thoughts on the media altering this race by not reporting the truth from day one. The truth being that in all actuallity this race has always been between Romney and Paul from day one. We'll never know how things might have been if the public was told the truth and the likes of Hannity n Bill O told the sheep just that.
