Reagan delivers Ron Paul Platform...I never knew!

You didn't know this, and you call yourself a Ron Paul supporter? Strange indeed.

nate 895...could you please encourage people instead of looking down on a fellow RP supporter...!!!! You should Know BETTER and RP would NOT like that!

Too young...

I was only a baby when Reagan was in power... I didn't know, I always thought of Republicans as Bush Sr. and Jr.

He actually sounds like Ron Paul...

I'm not sure if you know this, but in 1980 the convention to nominate Reagan brought signs that said "burn the Bush" to show their opposition to Bush the first.

I'm just stunned that most Republicans don't realize or ignore this. Hypocrites, the lot of them.

Wow! Reagan is the first president I voted for. Listening to this really brings it home how far we've come since then (not in a good direction).

can someone put together a video splicing Reagan's speech with what Ron Paul says.

I love how everyone claims to be more like Reagan yet virtually everything he says would be dismissed by today's Media just as Ron Paul has been.

Yes believe it or not the Republican platform used to be very similar to the ideas we are supporting here. This is the main goal of the R[EVOL]UTION, to change the party platform back to what it used to stand for. Over the past two decades Republicans made a turn toward Neo-Conservatism, which really isn't conservative at all, it was a great leap towards fascism. While the Democrats took a greater leap towards communism by selling the ideas of universal health care and a government funded welfare state, nevermind about the free market or the ideas of capitalism. We are here today to forever change the GOP and make our stance against the GOP potentially nominating another Neo-Con. I don't blame anyone for not knowing the platform Reagan ran on, after all many of the people supporting the R[EVOL]UTION probably were only born sometime in the last three decades. If there is any advice anyone should ever refer to it is history. Read history from as many different view points as you can find and then make you're own decision on what happened. Most importantly take advantage of the lessons you learn and do not fall into the same mistakes you're predecessors fell into.

I have heard many people say that we will not be able to continue our ways of endless wars and spending ourselves into oblivion because the final collapse of the dollar will prevent it.
However when the dollar finally fails the American people will be at the top of a mountain on one side will be socialism and communism and on the other will be free markets. In a political race where it seems all of the candidates condone socialism, except Ron Paul of course, the one direction we will be headed is a society in which we become real slaves to the government. Think about what happened during the Depression, when the dollar finally fails there will be virtually no middle class, we will wait on bread lines if there are any and we will become a nation of servants to the government. It is not an option to wait for the dollar to collapse because at that time it will be too late for us to really save this country. We must push forth and instill fiscal responsibility in our government and that time is now. Hold these bastards in office accountable for their actions, it is the People's sole responsibility to ensure that our government officials are responsible for their actions.

Never let the ideas you have learned here fade after November, we are doing a good job in spreading the message to the youth of America and that just might save us after all. It gives me great hope knowing that more of us are entering office every day. Yes we will accomplish our goals the ball is rolling faster every day, we will succeed we will succeed.

Reagan was a great speaker but it's mostly a bunch of happy talk.
RP is not as good a speaker but 1000x better candidate, and his speeches contain substance.

BTW, did anyone see that shot of GHW Bush? He looked VERY ANGRY, which I'm sure he was, since he HATED Reagan and hates the idea of individualism.

The problem many Reagan conservatives have is that they've been spoon-fed the line, and have come to believe, that 9/11 changed EVERYTHING. Overcoming that is our challenge.

Friend of mine worked on the Reagan campaign. He told me that Reagan hated the Bush family.

Yea Reagan was great until about 1981!!
It's unfortunate that once Reagan was in office the early neo-cons had already infiltrated. I believe Bush41 and the gang strong-armed Reagan into a presidency he didn't approve of.
