Raúl Labrador to Announce Future Plans Tomorrow #ID01

That is my voting district. I would be happy if he runs for Governor, but I don't think he would be a good strategic choice for VP (Idaho isn't a battleground state).

I think he'd be a great VP pick. A Hispanic, west coast(ish) governor? Idaho isn't a battle state, but that's money in my book.

Neither is Kentucky.

I don't know that there is anybody from swing states who he would pick.

I'm confused about Labrador. Would he be primarying a relatively popular incumbent governor? How would he expect to win? This reeks of a publicity stunt.

Otter hasn't announced whether he will run for a third term. If he does, I hope Labrador stays out of the race. Otter is an excellent governor.

I think some people are mad because he used to be against ObamaCare but then talked Republicans in the legislature to support ObamaCare in violation of state law.

I'm from Ohio, Kasich is pushing hard for Medicaid but the legislature hasn't given in yet. We have supermajorities in both houses and Kasich is being an asshole over this issue. Scott Walker is my pick.

Forgot about that. Yeah that will kill his chances for sure. Martinez would still be in the mix I think (although NM isn't that big of a prize). What about Walker? I believe his name has even been tossed out there as a potential candidate for the nomination. I really don't know much about him other than his hardline stance against the unions and his surviving the recall.

Didn't know he was thinking of higher office. Not surprised he's seeking re-election. It sounds like he's going to be a big player with the immigration bill in the House.

Idaho is an overlooked state in my opinion with 2 pretty good senators who vote with Rand on a lot of issues and a libertarianish governor in Otter. They're major setback is that Simpson guy, but hes facing a seemingly strong primary challenger already endorsed by the club4growth.

You are correct except for the governor. He used to be a co-patriot of Ron Paul. Now he is pretty statist and nothing special. It is very sad!
