Boone County Kentucky Republican Party Christmas Party

11/30/2012

Boone County Republican Christmas Gala to Feature Both U.S. Senators

Both of Kentucky’s U.S. Senators and the newly elected U.S. Representative from Kentucky’s 4th district will all be featured at the Boone County Republican Party Christmas gala on November 30, 2012 at the Cincinnati Airport Hilton in Florence, Ky. Senator Rand Paul, among the most closely watched of the Republicans in the Senate, will be the featured speaker and Senator Mitch McConnell will make a guest appearance. Paul will be introduced by Congressman Thomas Massie. The annual fundraiser has long been considered one of the highlights of Northern Kentucky’s political calendar, and the organizers look forward to celebrating with all the Party’s friends—old and new—at this social hour/dinner event.

“The frightening growth of federal government and its unprecedented spending have energized and renewed interests in the Republican Party,” says Rick Brueggemann who was elected as chair of the party this past spring. Brueggemann credits what he called, “a back-to basics focus on our nation’s founding principles” for attracting new interest in the Party.

In addition to Senator Paul and Thomas Massie, Ben Swan, the popular television personality and host of WXIX Reality Check, will speak and serve as Master of Ceremonies.

The cocktail reception begins at 6 p.m. and dinner at 7:00. The evening will include a live auction, a silent auction, live music, and a book signing by Senator Paul of his new book, Government Bullies. Tickets are $50 each and table sponsorships are still available. Reservations can be made online at http://www.eventbrite.com/event/4740239183#.

“The Christmas gala is a traditional time for those who have been active in the party to have a good time together after the pressure of the political season is over,” says party Treasurer Melanie Morris. “It’s also an opportunity to network with Party activists old and new. Mostly, we want this to be a fun event where everyone is welcome.”

So Ben and Rand are getting chummy. Nice. Ben would make a great White House Press Secretary :D.

Oh, God! I think I just wet myself!

Just imagine: a WH PS who actually speaks in straightforward facts & realities - rather than evasive platitudes & euphemisms.

Dammit! I did it again!

That's a lot of win under one roof.. ( minus McConnell.. )

whoaaa Ben Swann being asked to MC a big state GOP event with Rand Paul as a guest, OUTSIDE of Ohio, can NOT be a coincidence!

Can it?

Not that it's not a big deal, but it's just barely outside Ohio, still within his Reality Check viewing area.

I hope not. We don't have enough honest people in the media as it is and losing a budding star like Mr. Swann would be a detriment to us all.
