This is a great example of a federal agency out of control. The state government of Nevada is not pleased.

Rand should condemn the agency's militarized escalations, blast them for creating free speech zones, and call for federal lands to be returned to the states.

This would win him a lot of support.

I think it would be a great move for Rand to show up and get into the fray.

I think it would be political suicide. This issue is too hard to understand for the average joe.

i think rand should jump all over this. this man is about to be killed. rand should call it out so they will think twice before murdering this man. call the police and gov the real terrorist.

Completely agree. It's horseshit but they'd paint this as him supporting domestic terrorism and it will work.

Don't think so. For one, Gov. Sandoval and Sen. Heller have spoken out.

I think it would fit the narrative of out of control agencies running rogue with the Obama administration.

If it turns into a bloodbath the narrative coming out will be spun to favor the LEOs and any support of the people they put down will be construed that way, I can't see it going any other way.

This is the line in the sand. It's not enough this time to stay quiet and let things blow over. And it's not enough to say a few words of comfort from Bowling Green or DC. He has to be there - in person. He does a better job than most by protecting our rights in the halls of Washington DC. But if it inconveniences him any to stand up when there's guns in our faces and only seconds before they pull the trigger then what's the point? He needs to be there. He won't alienate anyone by going. This move could only benefit him.

BLM collects $1.27 million in shale fracking leases

U.S. Bureau of Land Management geologist Lorenzo Trimble tells the Las Vegas Review-Journal the Elko County oil and gas leases sold Tuesday for $1.27 million to six different companies. The auction took place in Reno. The leases are near where Houston-based Noble Energy Inc. wants to drill for oil and natural gas on 40,000 acres of public and private land near the town of Wells. The Review-Journal reports the project would be the first in Nevada to use hydraulic fracturing, or fracking, to extract oil and gas from shale deposits.

Senator Rand Paul from Kentucy recently said, "I would immediately get every obstacle out of the way for our export of oil and gas" in an appearance on Fox News Sunday.

"And I would begin drilling in every possible, conceivable place within our territories in order to have production that we can supply Europe with if it's interrupted from Ukraine."

So...there's your answer.

Oh shut up. One thing he HAS TO do is to make sure there is nothing hidden in the rancher's background that could backfire on him. To not do due diligence would be stupid.

The issue of eminent domain (this is what it boils down to) is nothing new. People have been displaced for many stupid reasons, though I can't think of anything more moronic than a shit eating turtle.

I doubt Rand will risk his political career over this, when we have ridiculous drug forfeiture laws that are 1) more widespread 2) more universally despised. Let the liberty movement from NV and the Oathkeepers handle this one. We live to fight another day.

Lovely, LE. How Christian of you. You're a real gem. I'm sure this guy is a child molesting, Grandma beating, drug using, Satan worshiper, who Rand should stay clear of. /s

If anything were dug up on this man I'm sure it would be that, he's a guy who's trying to live his life free of government intrusion, manipulation, and extortion. Anything that this guy has against him is more than likely some government fabricated non-crime that they will parrot in the MSM as him being a evil, America hating, domestic terrorist, when in reality he is just trying to live his life in a state that is almost wholly owned by the Feds for absolutely no reason. This would be on par with Rand supporting the people fighting the EPA over a mud puddle. I don't see a problem with Rand supporting these people. This is the epitome of government overreach and overreaction. They will seriously kill this man for absolutely no other reason than not obeying their demands towards property that they should even be on in the first place. Thanks for showing us what side you stand on and that side is not the side of liberty as your name suggests.

Are you there, in person?
