I've been reading about the America First movement of Charles Lindbergh prior to Pearl Harbor and there's an aspect I discovered which suggests a favorable trend to our work today. The South was pro-war in 1940-1941 just as they are today. The America First movement was despised in the South. The strongest support for the anti-war movement came from the Midwest. If Paul could win Illinois and Indiana that would certainly give him some momentum.

Support is strong here in southern Indiana. Unfortunately, there's also a lot of evangelical neocons voting for Santorum or Gingrich. Working on a few right now. Hope for the best.

Historically the coasts and the South tend to support intervention. The Upper Midwest and the Interior West are typically the most non interventionist. The America First Committee was a great organization that unfortunately has been smeared by the pages of history. A great book to check out if you want to learn more about the history of anti-war conservatism is Ain't My America by Bill Kauffmann. http://www.amazon.com/Aint-America-...UQGC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1328142817&sr=8-1

In So IN as well and I see the same thing...especially Santorum. But given our state's basic lock within the party, I would say Romney will win here. I'm doing my best to stop it though :D
