I wonder how much we'll shoot up after Gingrich drops out.

The question remains whether the ballots are already printed and he remains on the ballot. It seems we always get penalized on the protest vote.

To Romney, same as with the santorum voters who went mostly to romney. :) Everything is gonna be okay...

People forget this a poll for Republicans only and most think Mitt has this and hopefully a lot stay home. In order for Paul to come in first in TX we need Democrats, Independents and young people to show up in record numbers.

I just cant bring myself to believe that Grinch is 21 points up on us when he's dropping out...

There is a lot of animosity towards Ron from the GOP stalwarts here in Texas. I suspect it stems in part from being embarrassed to be associated with Ron by virtue of sharing the State with him. You peeps in other States likely didn't have to face the same hurdles in winning hearts and minds.

There is no question that Gingrich will still be on the ballots as well as Santorum and one or two others (Bachmann, Perry?) as far as I know.

and those Gingrich voters go where????

To Romney UNLESS they think they have a better, more conservative ANTI-OBAMA option but they think Ron Paul is "unelectable" & nothing has been done to change that thought-process

I wonder how much we'll shoot up after Gingrich drops out.

I'd like to see it but I doubt it will happen because most Paul-supporters don't seem to grasp that ELECTABILITY & BEATING OBAMA is what matters most

just please get on phone from home people, its easy, its free, and its effective!

This

And for God's sake people, make sure to portray him as CONSERVATIVE ANTI-OBAMA OPTION at least now

I just cant bring myself to believe that Grinch is 21 points up on us when he's dropping out...

Because Ron Paul is "unelectable" so why would any mainstream voter consider him? Again, it just baffles the mind how most Paul-supporters have focused on so many unimportant things & forgot the obvious

The ONLY reason Romney has been the "frontrunner" all along because he's perceived as "most electable & can beat Obama" while Paul is seen as "unelectable" & yet SO LITTLE EMPHASIS has been put on the fact the RON PAUL CAN BEAT OBAMA since he appeals to people across political spectrum from Republicans to Independents & Democrats & that's why he does so well against Obama in polls

Does anyone know if Grinch and Santorum already filed in Texas? It'd be great if they weren't on the ballot

Yes they have and will be on the ballot along with four others:

By the way: "A Presidential candidate may withdraw from participation in the Presidential Primary ... by filing with the Secretary of the SREC a signed and acknowledged request ... votes cast for that candidate shall be deemed votes for uncommitted [Rule 38 - Section 2.d]"

I don't know... Gingrich supporters are much more 'Romney haters' than Santorum's are. It depends if Gingrich endorses Romney, but I doubt he will. He has a huge personal distrust and hate for the man. He would have dropped out a while ago but stayed in just to do any sabotage he could to Romney.

My Dad said he would vote for either Gingrich or Ron against Romney but not Santorum. There are those who went to Gingrich because of a gloss of fiscal conservatism -- and my Dad just liked the entertainment value of imagining Gingrich with Obama.

I mean, what can you say to someone who proposes moon colonies as the 51st state?
