Portland Maine meaningless straw poll results

It's not meaningless, we need to at least come close to winning the straw poll because it gives us a boost. this race has lost the meaningfulness of the delegates when Rudy Giuliani and Fred Thompson dropped and the media said it's McCain v. Romney.

I wouldn't say that's meaningless. If Romney wins in votes, (even if not in delegates), it won't keep the media from reporting he had a ME victory.

I think it's well past the time when we should have realized that we're not going to win this thing by playing for coverage from the MSM. Even if we win the straw vote today, they won't give us much attention. Instead, they'll go on talking about Mitt and McCain are maneuvering against each other, or which party bigwig endorsed some other party bigwig.

We have our alternate information channels and we're using them to get the word out. Will it be enough? Can we succeed despite being ignored or ridiculed by Leviathan's mouthpieces? Let's hope so.

Does anyone have any idea where McCrazy was able to pick up enough votes to get ahead of Paul by 100 votes?

What about Augusta? I have not found but one or two precincts where McC got more votes than Paul.

The funny thing is, most of Romney's "wins" are all preception.. Most of his people left after the Presidential Preference Poll in Portland (say that 5 times fast).

CNN's Headlines come November:

Mitt Romney, Perceived President of the United States
Ron Paul, President Elect of the United States

Do you have to live in Maine to participate in the caucuses?

MA has a large Mormon community.

I bet Romney bussed in people like he did in Nevada.

His surrogate speaker wasn't even from cumberland county, let alone maine. He was from Massachusetts, and had the worst speech out of the three surrogates (Huckabee, Romney, and Paul). There was much crashing of tables and loud noises when Ron Paul's surrogate speaker was giving his speech. It was so obnoxious that it had to have been staged by the Romneybots.

haha I was thinking the same thing!

Surprisingly Huckabee's surrogate speaker was really good. If I were voting on someone just by the speeches I'd go with Huck.

Could someone explain to me how you can go into Maine from another state and participate in the caucuses?

Could this still be done tomorrow if that's the case?

Does it help get delegates?

That should be impossible, you have to be a registered republican in your town/county to even be handed a ballot or be nominated for a delegate, if the rules and procedures are followed. (As they were at my caucus.)
