Our grassroots base is amazing. We have better planning and organization amongst volunteer effort than most other campaigns. We have a better online hub, we have better education on our values, and our values are based on peace.

Awesome! Thats really great that we can fire up the small base that relates to a candidate based on philosophical foundations and core values.

We need to organize to win the overwhelming majority of Americans who vote based on other factors. The easiest way I can see to do this, is to drastically increase Ron Paul's celebrity factor. Just look at Sarah Palin's numbers (case in point).

A meaningful project needs to be outreach to people of celebrity and recognized prominence. We need to build a database of potential support and reach out with our base of fire to urge them to support Ron Paul. Obama had commercials littered with celebrity, and people young and old responded to the calls from their favorite Actors, Musicians, Sports Players completely ignoring rationale.

Core values are important, but it is emotion and self fufillment that people respond to. If we are ever to win, we need to herd in the cattle. We need some big players on board early. Help me build a list of celebrity that may respond positively to our humble requests. Once we build a decent list we will find emails to contact for support.

Actors/Actresses
Vince Vaughn
Drew Carey
Joe Rogan
Clint Eastwood
Kurt Russell
Chuck Norris

Musicians
Rush
Snoop Dogg (under protest for Obama support)
Billy Joe Armstrong (green day frontman)
Willie Nelson
John Mayer

Sports
Glen Jacobs (Kane)
Mark Cuban
Tim Duncan

Other:
Trey Parker
Penn and Teller
Howard Stern
Matt Groening (simspons creator)
Hugh Hefner

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie and Objectivists (potential support for RP?)

I left out political pundits such as Stossel, Napolitano, Beck, etc. This thread is intended to reach out to new support in different mediums than we are used to. We fully intend to keep a close eye on the usual suspects.

I was thinking about this too. That list already looks pretty nice but we'd need some big shots to join, like a Brad Pitt or of the sorts.. and not just one but several.

why is snoop dogg on the list? he may be in-line with some of ron's stances but he's certainly not a supporter. I watched him on colbert or some other show and he was talking up Obama

What about Bill Maher or Jon Stewart? Those two in particular are very influential because of their huge audience. Bill Maher was especially fond of Ron Paul. Joy Behar of The View may be another one.

This is a great idea. Celebrity endorsement would certainly help to some extent.

Penn Gillette(sp?) of 'Penn and Teller' fame.I heard him talking to Howard Stern about RP and they both sounded very supportive (although there was a question over Ron's 'racist writings' in his newsletters and whether or not he was electable). They both certainly liked him.

Forgot a few.. What about Jesse Ventura? Surprised no one mentioned him either.

Chuck Norris endorsed Huckabee in 2008 but I do recall watching vids of him later speaking fondly of Dr. Paul.

naw man, neither are Ron Paul fans. They may have 1 or 2 libertarian leanings but in no-way-shape-or-form are they Ron Paul supporters
