Political Campaign alot about Perception?

If political campaigning is alot about perception then why not produce a commercial containing many clips from the rallies to show the public that there is a very large amount of support across the country. Yes the issues are important but they main issue of this campaign is the reclaiming of the peoples power. Avertisers use the tatic of 'coolness' or try to convince you to be part of the crowd. Why not use this same tatic in an ironic sense to let people know that we are fighting for our indiviual rights and in order to do this people of all walks of life must band together to achieve this feat??
