Please, whoever happens to read this thread from the campaign, we cannot win this election unless we get the trust of the old people. Right now, all they ever hear is are the following examples:
1. "I don't want to throw anybody out in the streets"
2. "We attract the young people because we are giving them a way to get out of this system"
3. "The young people are excited because we offer them a way to get out of the system because they know they will have to pay for 50 years and they won't get anything back"
4. "Yes, we should get rid of social security, but I am the only one who will save the old people."
5. "Warfare-welfare state." (People do not even understand this. If you want to talk about this state of the country, you must tie it into corporate welfare, etc.)
5. And, on and on and on, until the frightened old people, who only care about their next social security check and how they are going to pay for all of their medicines, are NEVER going to vote for Ron Paul.
So, Ron Paul must quickly adjust his message, and do TV ADS now! He must flood the TV with ads addressing this one issue! Old people. We are not getting many old votes. And, they are the ones who have much to gain or lose by voting or not voting. Wow, I cannot believe no one has advised Ron Paul of this before. We cannot just preach to the choir. We have spoken to the young. Now, go for the 50's, 60's, 70's and up!
Just my opinion. Stop focusing on the young, and get to the older folks. They only learn in soundbites too, and we are not hitting them with the right soundbites.
