Oct. 12 is the deadline to change party registration to vote in the primary in the state of New Hampshire.

we should start a last minute phone blitz on registered NH democrats to let them know that Ron Paul is the only true antiwar candidate and that if they wish to vote for him in the primaries that they must change parties by October 12th.

this would give paul more name recognition among New Hampshire dems . also , there may be some registered NH dems that wish to vote for him in the primaries but have no idea about the deadline.

just a thought. we would have to move very quick on this. also not sure if we can do actually do this with campaign rules.

I thought they had an open primary as well.

Independent voters can vote for either party in the primary; BUT people registered to a particular party can only vote in THEIR parties primary.

Which is why the OP said, "Oct. 12 is the deadline to change party registration to vote in the primary in the state of New Hampshire."
