Petition: Donald Trump, Make Ron Paul Secretary of State/Treasury

Looks like we are going to get John Bolton instead. Thank you to all here who supported Trump as some kind of positive change-maker. The proof that you are delusional is going to be in the pudding, and we are all going to suffer for it.

You could have just typed out "Never gonna happen" instead of posting some shitty music.
I was trying to be nice, I'm kinda starting to feel bad crushing peoples stupid dreams. OH wait... I don't feel bad crushing their stupid dreams. I was just trying to be entertaining this time.

She does have a nice voice though

Never gonna happen. Although I said the same thing about Trump's presidency so what do I know

Lol.. that is hilarious. Trump supporters have never been happier or more enthusiastic than they are right now. And it doesn't really matter if he puts some bad people in his cabinet, there are several reasons he could be doing it.. but the bottom line is if he doesn't like how they are doing their job, he can always fire them. But right now he has to act nice so they don't try and steal the election from him, have him assassinated, etc..

I mean, he made the establishment guy the official hotel room reserver, and he made the head of Breitbart the White House Strategist. So far, so good. I don't want to see Bolton in there, but it could be a short term thing that will help transition him into the White House more smoothly. Or maybe he won't pick him. Who knows.

Considering Ron's view of Trump, that he is a corrupt authoritarian statist, if nominated I bet Ron would not serve.

I'll bet he would give it a shot, and just resign if he decides that it isn't in the country's best interest for him to be there.

You're not being entertaining. You're being a smug pain in the ass.
Ron Paul supporters are - by nature - pretty well grounded in reality. We really don't need you to keep setting us straight on the likelihood of absolute success.

Any action that keeps Ron Paul in the conversation and in people's minds, is a positive action.

you consider yourself a RON Paul supporter, but yet you support THUMP. that's funny I thought you were "pretty well grounded in reality"

My vote was not cast lightly.

I was never a Trump supporter. When it appeared that Clinton was going to win - despite all the proof of her criminal behavior, etc., I decided to vote against her, and for the opponent that liberty-minded senators/reps would most likely be able to pull towards the cause of liberty.

I had intended to write in Rand Paul, but realized at the last minute that this would acomplish one thing only - it would've enabled me to forever brag "Not me! I wrote in Rand Paul. I remained pure!" over and over again, an entirely selfish motive! I reasoned that this could, in fact, help elect Hillary Clinton in the end, and if that were to happen, all the bragging rights in the world could never excuse me from being part of such a debacle! The globalists would've won lock, stock and barrel! I cast the vote that caused the least damage and also enabled an increased chance of getting pro-liberty policies passed over the next four years.

I have not begrudged anyone who voted with a write-in. I've seen a number of comments from people who feel good about not voting for Trump, yet are also essentially thrilled with the results of Trump having won. Yeah, 20/20 hindsight now tells me that I too, could've wrote in Rand and not have brought on the globalists, but being realistic, I didn't depend on such luck.

Before you look down your nose at me for the way I voted, think about why you chose to vote as you did. Is it really a statement about your commitment and your integrity? Or was it just a selfish desire to brag - even if it meant Hillary might've won and the globalists would be in total control, in a way we could never come back from?

Regardless, Trump is to be president now, and if we want to see anything positive accomplished, it will be necessary to speak of him often. Anyone who cannot bear hearing Trump's name is going to have to get over that tic in a hurry. He's part of the process now.

I really am amazed at how people here can swallow John fucking Bolton, just because Ron Paul-hating freedom-hating Trump nominated him. Mindblowing.

I voted for Gary Johnson in hopes that my vote could help a libertarian alternative to two parties of authoritarianism grow, even if it isn't in good shape at the moment ideologically or politically. I think you Trump voters will eventually realize what a grave mistake you made but hopefully it happens sooner rather than later.

I'm trying to share your optimism. Please keep it coming.
