Peter Schiff will testify in Congress on 6/7 10 AM

The Bernank is going to testify at the same time so unless Peter is testifying in front of the same committee no one is going to pay attention to what this “Oversight of Federal Housing Administration’s Multifamily Insurance Programs” is going to produce in real time and it will be all to easy to spin later on unfortunately.

It pisses me off seeing those people up there as if they sit on high. They're the whole damn problem.

Schiff's a great guy, smart as a whip, speaks to truth and gets it, but...

He sucks at playing these government cheese heads.

Nothing he said would have caused them to change their minds so there was no point in holding back.

"Wow, democracy at work? How many think we need the FHA? FHA wins, all the lobyists out number you here Peter."

Really? Really? What a stupid setup !

Mr Schiff, all you do is point out problems. We're looking for solutions. Do you have any proposals?

He didn't see that coming?

"I already gave you the answer" is not a comeback. I think they kicked his ass. And all it took was the "you're always whining, but you have no answers" line the high school counsellor used to shut you up when you were 16 years old.

I find nothing of value in anyone who goes to a Senate or Congressional hearing and says "Congress is corrupt". Duh.

Less than one one-hundredth of one percent of the population will see this exchange in the best case scenario.

I would have loved to see him walk in there with the slickest formal proposal ever produced, replete with facts, numbers, statistics, polls, charts, graphs and pop-up American flags, which he would already have distributed to their staffs and offered to each of them as soon as they pulled out that tired old bullshit " but, you have no solutions" tripe.

I would have really, really loved for him to have followed that up by mentioning that a condensed version brochure was scheduled to be mailed to targeted registered voters in [whomever pulled this "you're a cry-baby with no proposals" shit] districts by his PAC.

"Here, let me underscore it for ya, you lobbyist b!^ch, FU..We Are Broke you dim wit"

Peter DID Give Solutions, Get The Government Out Of It! Stop diverting money through guarantees.

He gave the answer clearly, no FHA is needed, period. He gave them basic economic principles that even Jesse Jackson Jr could comprehend and explained how it applies to the first housing crisis and how it applies to houses and markets in general. It is common sense, not science. If congress can't comprehend this, then it doesn't matter what we present to them, they will do what they want to do.

I'd actually watch CSPAN if Peter was a Senator. Rand better put him in the cabinet 2016.

He gave the most complete and correct proposal those criminals had ever seen. End the FHA and all government involvement in housing. That plan doesn't need an elaborate presentation.
