So what is he waiting for?

PG pisses me off at times, but still, I'd welcome him.

To all you people sweating in the heat, today is sunny, cool, about 70.

God's country.;)

I love the cold, but New Hampshire is just too "agrarian" for me—I require large urban cities with massive skyscrapers in order to prosper. Denver is a pretty decent alternative to me—it's the "Wall Street of the West", and lies in the state with the largest degree of economic liberty.

I'm trying to think of excuses that the Founders' would have accepted and nothing comes to mind. Unless ya have a medical condition, the cold excuse is baseless. As far as needing skyscrapers, Boston is only a 45 min commute from S. NH. Manchester is often called Manchattan as it has a thriving nightlife and the buildings are fairly tall as well.

lol, I've heard locals sarcastically refer to it as "Machvegas" but never "Manchattan".

I like what they're doing in Keene, although they probably couldn't have chosen a more liberal part of the state. I guess that's part of the challenge.

I can't wait to get the hell out of Jersey. I might transfer up to a school in NH to do it sooner. Does anybody know anything about St. Anselm's or UNH?

I'm only vaguely familiar with those schools. You might want to ask over http://forum.freestateproject.org - chances are there are some current UNH/St. A's students or recent alumnis involved in the project.

I'm just tired of people over reacting over hand comments. Penn mentions the free-state project and all of a sudden the skies open up, angels sing, and OMG !! It's an AMAZING endorsement!!

Sarah Palin says she thinks Ron Paul is cool and suddenly she should be his VP.

and yes I do live in a relatively hopeless state.

Edit: the video posted above is actually more of an endorsement than the one in the OP. Still not "amazing". Wouldn't you expect Penn to speak well of the FSP? What would really be "amazing" is if he trashed it. I guess my problem is really with the use of the word "amazing". Its over use these days, along with other forms of hyperbole, has led to the watering down of language. Not everything is amazing or incredible and not everyone is a hero.

The NH FS Project sounds great and I’m tempted to buy property there. I went to their site and it’s big. http://www.freestateproject.org/ It even has an active discussion forum.

I’m wondering about a headcount of FSers currently relocating to NH. Besides the current FS-member population, app how many are moving in each month/year? Does anyone know where those stats might be? IOW I might jump in the water if I knew a whole bunch of others were.

There's really no way to know the amount of movers per month other than tracking the mover counter, but many people move and aren't counted and some move and don't even sign up as a participant. Apparently, those people have privacy issues which is fine. But, it's hard for recruiters like me to give hard and precise numbers on the subject.

It's sunny, cool and about 70 here in San Diego too. And it will be the same tomorrow, and the day after that, and the day after that...and we don't even have to put up with that old man up in the sky with a beard!
