I was really happy to hear Dr. Paul say that he would pardon these guys

He asked the same question of Mitt Romney who hem-hawed around the answer with "well, I never issued a pardon as governor but would have to look at the merits...".
The Romney interview is up on CNN's Beck page as are other candidate interviews. Not sure if he asks this of all of them (I bet he does...) but you could cut out the other candidates answers -- or at least the ones who didn't answer yes -- and add those to the video.

Your impression is wrong. Research the issue more fully.
There were a lot of facts missing on both sides of this case but the fact is the guy was here illegally and was NOT unarmed.

This is the biggest injustice of two men who put thier lives on the line to protect our borders and our sovereignty. Once again Ron Paul takes the high ground.
Defending our borders from what exactly? He was a petty drug smuggler.
Two border patrol agents (Ramos and Compean). The story is long so I'll highlight what occured.
- suspicious van called in
- Jose Alonso Compean calls for backup
- Ignacio Ramos cuts off van
- driver flees car and tries to run for mexico
- shots fired, compean on the ground
- ramos continues not knowing who shot and what injuries occured
- suspect turns around with what looks like a gun
- ramos shoots at the suspect
- suspect runs into a van waiting for him on the other side and gets away
- no report filed since no injuries
*note* it was not known at the time that there was marijuana in the van
- suspect in mexico is found to have been shot in the butt
- against the law to shoot a person whose back is shown to you
- agents were not supposed to pursue the suspect as that needed supervisor's approval
- agents given at least a 10 year jail sentence (conviction for discharging a firearm in relation to a crime of violence has an automatic 10-year sentence)

I would hope that we would ENCOURAGE border patrol agents to enforce the border laws.
In law enforcement you are forced to make split second decisions, without time to flip through law books to see if you can discharge your weapon at a suspect whose back is turned.
Scaring Border Patrol agents out of enforcing border laws is not the way to secure the border.

I was so glad to hear he will pardon them. Bush should have already pardoned them by now, but of course he won't because Bush is an open-borders globalist, who doesn't care about these border agents, and doesn't want to go against his corrupt buddies like Sutton.
