Lot of parallels between Paul & Tebow. They're both 'not supposed to win', but are winning anyway. Lot of people love him, and a lot of people hate him. Both very principled.

Luck. He wouldn't even have got a chance to start were it not for a slew of injuries. And he wouldn't have racked up wins without the insanely good defense and weak opposition. And he wouldn't have made the playoffs had Oakland not lost their last game of the season. The he won a game in the playoffs after completing 10 passes against an injury-riddled team that was stacking 11 guys in the box to stop the run.

He's not an NFL QB. He can't freaking throw. That is... umm... important.

Same goes for Paul!

Paul isn't Tim Tebow. He's Peyton Manning. He's perfect at what he does.

The Broncos made it to 9-9 (with the imminent loss) because their defense has been arguably the best in the NFL since Tebow took over. Tebow himself has thrown for on average the 2nd fewest yards per game in the NFL, and come close to breaking a few all time passing records (not in a good way).

I believe Tim Tebow had the 4th lowest completion percentage in NFL history. Contrast that to Paul's accuracy on the issues and its night and day!



Tebow is atrocious. Paul rules.

If he was going to pick a football player, why not Lynn Swann? He's already been a Republican Gubernatorial nominee (even though he got trounced - but 2006 was a very bad year for the GOP.)
