The Georgia Republican made his declaration during an exclusive interview with TRNS at this year's Conservative Political Action Conference.

I spoke to several people at this year’s Conservative Political Action Conference in National Harbor, Md.

One of them, Georgia Republican Rep. Paul Broun, explained to me why he can’t support the House GOP budget proposal put out this week by Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.). Though the plan calls for $4.6 trillion in spending cuts over the next decade, it isn’t enough for Broun.

Broun also dished about the private meeting House Republicans had this week with President Obama. The congressman told me that Obama made several good gestures, but he questioned how sincere the president is as far as working with Republicans.

Broun, who is running to replace U.S. Sen. Saxby Chambliss (R-Ga.) next year, introduced a balanced budget amendment today, a sign that he is staking his campaign on his commitment to cut spending.

Don't end up like one of those deer, Mr. Ryan.

Good. Sadly only a handful of Republicans will dare vote against this budget fraud. The usual suspects probably about 5 or so.

They will pass it.

Broun can then use it to hammer his congressional colleagues in GA as they're supporting a 42% increase in the size of government. You may see a strategic vote or two against it but only if Boehner allows them a free pass and already has the numbers to pass it. They're very methodical about this and don't leave much to chance. I think with 236 votes he can afford 16 defections and so will be happy to accommodate his friends who are in senate races so they can claim to the masses that they're fiscal hawks.

The scam continues...
