Just a few weeks ago, I was part of a huge conspiracy of anti-racist activists - activists who, online and in public, were bent on the destruction of the Ron Paul Campaign. We used our websites and our online influence to spread outright false and misleading information. We began this online influence at least six months prior to the release of the Ron Paul Newsletters. We knew they were going to be released.

I was originally a Ron Paul supporter. I was stunned when I heard from other Anti-Racism advocates that Ron Paul had released such Newsletters. I was never shown actual newsletters, only told that they would soon be released. I trusted in my fellow activists. I had been working with most of them for several years; they had never steered me wrong before. Then right before the primaries, the Newsletters were released. Did you get that?

Right before the primaries the newsletters were released!

This is in op/ed news. Donate for this. This is real. I'm not suprised but a little sad. At least they admit it.

OMG, what a revelation! The guy lives in Austin and seems repentant. Be sure to read the comments below the piece. He gives more details. Nice to see him confessing to his dirty deeds. Wish the media would do the same thing.

"What made me come out and tell the truth?"

Originally I was a Ron Paul supporter...in the 1980's I remember walking past the war wagon that was parked behind the Foodland on South Lamar in Austin, Texas.

But my friend who I had been working with for some time...were all anti-racists...and THEY suddenly all became anti-Paul's about 6 months ago...I asked why and was told he had written some racist newsletters in the past...I was never shown the newsletters...only told that they would soon be released publicly.

After six months of working with my "friends" against Ron Paul...I was apauled that the newsletters were released JUST before the first primary...obviously the entire thing had be orchastrated.

I began investigating further...and found out that the Anti-Racists were recieving their directions from Daryle Lamont Jenkins of OnePeoplesProject.com...and that he and Bill White, Comander of the National Socialists movement, had been working together with the reporter who released the newsletters and that THEY had in fact supplied the newsletters!

Bill White...is a Federal agent.

This tosser claims to have been a Ron Paul supporter, but clearly he hasn't heard Dr Paul speak, because anybody that has knows he's not a racist.

This guy, and the "anti-hate" people he runs with are pricks. And, yes, I hate them for what they have done.

That's what he said... if you kept reading - he is offering to sell off everything he owns if ANYONE can come up with video or audio PROOF that Ron Paul has said anything remotely racist - in line with the articles they are claiming he has written.

Like a good American he heard a rumor and bought it - and shut out any other possible truths.
I can't blame him for it - and accept his apology.

Everyone makes mistakes.

It takes a man of integrity to admit when he is wrong.
Too little too late, maybe...
But he's doing what he can to correct what wrongs he's done.

went to the site and it seems that they are being bullies like the ones they supposedly despise and getting people to harrass others.

O.K., I would concede that everyone makes mistakes.

I just wonder this. If the newsletter excerpts were released right before the primaries, and this guy then realized he'd been had, why did he wait this long to say something about it? He waited, in other words, until it was a little late to make any difference.

To me, that speaks volumes.

I am so pissed. I had to argue with this "Ron Paul is racist boohoo" disinfo in other forums (trust me, this disinfo spread all over the net, all over) with people who had bought it without question. I told it was a deliberate smear campaign and that some of those guys had been at it before but nobody wanted to believe me. Yeah, let's not talk about the bigger issue which is the f-cking direction America is going, let's just buy all the smear without any intelligent thought.

I. AM. PISSED.

I had some friends come back to me a few weeks after initially telling them about Ron Paul to "let me know" that "Ron Paul is a vicious racist."

No dice convincing them otherwise. Of course, they wouldn't even watch video of him speaking, because "he's a politician" and "of course he'd say he isn't a racist."

Whatever.

Edit: I should probably add that both were hardcore lefties and utterly unable to understand the notion of cutting spending...clearly the solution to the problem of paying for universal healthcare is to "tax the rich CEOs."

The economic collapse that could have been lessened by Ron,
every innocent life that is murdered by the continuance of the current wars that would have been ended by Ron,
every war that's started in the future that Ron wouldn't have started,
all these horrible things and more that Ron would have prevented will be on the hands of everyone involved.

Everyone of those involved in preventing Ron's presidency will have the horrors that happen because of it on their hands,
and they will have to answer for their actions when what they've sown is reaped.

the way to convince someone on the left:

Tell them that Ron Paul has been railing against the embedded racism in the War on Drugs (not to mention, the racist enforcement) for DECADES. That Ron Paul will pardon all non-violent drug offenders (at the federal level, at least) which will effectively reunite countless minority families (since drug laws are enforced unevenly across race).

Then tell them Ron Paul has a long history of race positive actions, statements, AND policy and that no one, even the smearers, claim otherwise. There is absolutely no evidence in the form of direct quotes, video or otherwise that he is racist but there is plenty of evidence to the contrary.

Then tell them that Kucinich considers him a good friend and has stated, if he were to have a Republican VP, it would be Ron Paul. They know each other well.

I even showed the video of him talking with Wolf Blitzer about his position with drug laws (when he was asked about the newsletters), and also made clear his thoughts about MLK, and how they were in contradiction with the racist newsletters.

Nothing seemed to help.

What a tool. I'm trying to buy into the NAP, but I sure would enjoy whipping his ass. Fuck government. And fuck him and his socialist friends.
