Herman Cain On Stossel Thursday Night (7/14)

Wow...

I wonder if he's ever watched Stossel? I can't imagine he's prepared for what he's stepping into. This could either be the final nail in the coffin for Cain, or perhaps he'll endorse Ron Paul? I bet he at least endorses Paul's ideas.

Well the teaser / promo / commercial for it said "he was going to be asked the tough questions and demanding straight answers" or something to that effect. So I get the impression that John is gonna grill him :-)

I hope so b/c I'm sick of the softball treatment Judge Nap gives Cain. He and pretty much every Republican who appears on the show gets called a Tea Party favorite who supports a sound dollar and limited government. Then of course he keeps inviting back the same liberal scumbags over and over again (Charlie Rangel anyone?) - he fights them but still gives them a voice. This ain't the Freedom Watch of old and it's getting harder and harder to watch.. Stossel kicks Napolitano's ass (though I'm fairly convinced the Judge doesn't doesn't have a lot of say in the matter. He was always great when subbing for Beck and when he appears as a guest on other Fox shows. I don't get why Beck got and Stossel gets so much free reign while the host of 'Freedom Watch' has fairly limited freedom).

I've never really seen Stossel hold anybody's "feet to the fire", he's not a real aggressive interviewer.

I'd agree to your statement. BUT he does argue in a way that often makes people put their foot in their mouth AND his 20/20 programs are amazing. He hits the nail on the head.

I've had the impression all along that the Kochs liked Cain and Gary. And I expect that is the link, the same as Cain gets on REASON and DC

He sort of baby talks, or talks down as if to babies or in a melodrama. He irritates me.

I think Stossel, in this case, was trying to win Cain supporters over in an attempt to create more viewers from outside the typical Libertarian viewers. Hopefully the outcome will be them tuning in next week and so on. Very clever and I support it.

Think about it. Stossel knows he's a nobody to Cain supporters so his opinion no matter what he says means absolute jack especially in one show.

It is pretty obvious watching this video that this guy is pro-government. He's a walking contradiction.

Thanks! He wasn't mentioned at the beginning when Stossel listed all of the other candidates he devoted time to.
