[edit] There is a website organizing the effort, http://www.ohio4ronpaul.com/ [/edit]
Ohio needs some serious help... If they dont get a bunch of signatures and delegates SOON they will not have Ron Paul on the ballot. It seems the national campaign dropped the ball and told us they had it covered when they did not. I am growing more suspect of them often, but I am determined to help get Dr Paul in regardless of a clueless (or worse) campaign staff. Please help spread this message and tell everyone in ohio you can find that they need to help organize something NOW!!!
This is a repost, more (including links to how to help) are here:

We have a tight deadline to meet, we need people to go out every day this week to collect signatures. If we do not do this Ron Paul will not be on the ballot in Ohio. PLEASE READ THIS FIRST POST BEFORE ASKING QUESTIONS. MOST QUESTIONS CAN BE ANSWERED IN THIS POST. IT IS NOT POSSIBLE FOR ME TO EMAIL OR TALK TO EVERY PERSON INDIVIDUALLY TO ANSWER ALL QUESTIONS. THANKS!
Overview of the petition process and important points
The at large petition are the delegates for the entire state of Ohio. Any registered voter in the state of Ohio can sign the at large petition as long as they do not have a party affiliation of Democrat. Check with the local county BOE to confirm your party affiliation. Each at large petition must only contain signatures for ONE COUNTY.
Someone with a party affiliation of Democrat is neither allowed to sign a petition nor circulate it. Only registered republicans or people not affiliated with a party can circulate and/or sign a petition.
Besides the at large petition, there is a set of petitions for each Congressional district. For each district there is one petition for the delegates and another petition for the alternate delegates. People can sign both. You must be a registered voter in that district to sign a district petition. You cannot be a registered Democrat. Each district petition must only contain signatures for ONE COUNTY. We only have districts 7, 12, and 15 at this point.
You do not need to live in that particular county or district to circulate that petition, you just need to be registered to vote in ohio and not be a Democrat.
If a persons signature is not legible they should also print their name in the signature box
Of course doing this is a good opportunity to give out slim jims too and direct people to visit ronpaul2008.com! Get the phone numbers of supporters and ask them to join our meetup. Tell them you can get them a yard sign, give them a bumper sticker.
You are NOT allowed to sign the same petition that they circulate? You must sign one you didn't personally circulate. Delegates can sign the petition they are on.
