OFFICIAL Virginia Gubernatorial Election RESULTS THREAD

Politico still says 0% of precincts reporting. I think by 7pm EST we should be seeing results coming in and an idea of what the turnout was like.

Loudoun and Fairfax counties will be bell weathers. Loudoun is a swing county and Fairfax is a democratic stronghold. Seeing how they turnout might foretell how this election goes.

I live in Stafford County. No line at all when I went around 11:30 am this morning.

To me, Prince William county is the swing county. It's been turning blue the last two Presidential election cycles.

Do you normally vote at that time of day? If so, what was the line like last November at that time? Reason I ask is where we lived for most of our lives the polls were very slow from around 10 till 3 even in the elections with the biggest turnouts.

I live in PW County (that's where Cuccinelli lives too); hopefully my vote turned it solid red. :D

In 2004 George W. Bush won Prince William by 8,000 votes (53% to 47%). In 2012 Obama won it by 30,000 votes (57% to 41%). This county looks like a democratic stronghold right now. It will be interesting to see if democrats turnout in large numbers in these counties.

Professional voters, baby. Eat, sleep, cash government checks and most importantly VOTE!!! I mean Terry McAuliffe is such a captivating candidate who should be wearing prison blues.

From Twitter: Andy Forbes ‏@NASAguy 2m Abnormally high turnout in key Dem precincts in Fairfax County, especially Fox Mill. #VAGov #ElectionDay

Medved just said the Dems are winning the under 30 demographic and KC is winning the over 65s.

There is no way to beat them,in my country in the last 10 years they have employed more than 100K government workers for a 2 million population. The ratio between prивате and [ublic workers is something like 2:1.Every election turns into a who can offer the most to government workers and retirees because they are like 60%+ of people who vote the rest workers for the ones who finance they pp's and people who still think they can change things by voting. We had almost payed all of our debts 10 years ago, today debt is expected to reach 40% of GDP in 2 years.

Almost a quarter of a million people have left the country in the last 20 years and 85% of people under 25 want to leave it.

Latest turnout reports are showing heavy to very heavy turnout across the state, with turnout generally favoring GOP districts. It's going to come down the wire, maybe even in recount territory.

I hope the libertarian candidate fucks him over, but I dont live in VA

Just in: 50% of those exit polled say the ECONOMY is the main issue, with healthcare a distant second.
