Many here are of the opinion that the LDS church itself is the one telling its members to vote for the Mitt Wit. As a member of the Mormon faith, I just want to ask all of you to please not judge all of us because some in our faith voted for somebody that many of you don't like.

Dr. Paul's message stresses that we try to be accepting of those who may believe differently to what we believe. I myself have no problem with those who believe in another religion or in no religion at all. So please don't bash all of us (or the church itself), when it wasn't ALL of us, and when the church itself works hard to be politically neutral.

This isn't meant to flame anybody, I'm just asking you guys for some understanding. The link I provided is an official LDS Church statement regarding politics.

Dr. Paul's message does not stress anything of the sort. It says we cannot use government power to oppress.

The LDS Church cannot have express any other position than what you listed.

That is something we already knew. That is irrelevant. It could not express positions on politics if it wanted to.

Christians did the same for Huckabee. Many are not advocating specially negative treatment because most have been dissing Christians as well over the Huckabee crud.

The right to freedom means the right to do whatever the hell you want. My ex-girlfriend was a Jehovah witness, and they are all politically neutral, and while, I am immensely political, one thing I always understood, was that it was HER right to not vote and to practice her religion.

Whether or not LDS church took a neutral position or voted for Romney, it is their right and you guys should stop bashing them already.

Please people follow and uphold the constitution you are fighting for.

Kudos to you for being part of the 5% who thinks for him/herself AND took the time & effort to actually do some research into the candidates and issues.

I don't think it's 100% faith, rather 25% faith and 75% laziness (not willing to invest a weekend to do some REAL research into the candidates)

i hate this stuff too but unfortunately it comes with the territory of politics. it shouldnt, thats for sure but its something that cant be helped anymore. hell look how they treated JFK cause he was a catholic.

I'm of the general impression that Mormons are good natured people and to be honest, this whole process has made that impression on me. A lot of people vote based on their faith, whether it be jews, christians, mormons...

The majority of Mormons are voting for Mitt because he's a Mormon. Is that correct, or incorrect? I don't have a problem with Mormons in general but its the idea that you should vote for someone based on your faith that I find disturbing.

I dont agree with that. religon is a powerful thing. i myself was raised catholic but once i was old enough to decide for myself i chose to become agnostic. I appreciate the value that religon can bring but i also recognize how destructive it can be when spread by the wrong people. if youre going to preach religon, preach your religon but dont mix it with politics because thats an area of human life that should be decided by man, not deities. Preach to people to live good lives, love thy neighbor and respect the world, not who to vote for.

I can care less a persons faith; it's a free country. But the number's speak for themselves; 9/10 Mormons voting for the Mormon candidate
