My guess is that once winter is over there will be increased activity by the OWS. Another month will be spring in a lot of places, or at least no colder than when OWS wound down as winter came on. This time it will be coinciding with students getting out of class, as opposed to last time when they were just going back to school. I think it is important to be ready this time, with a general plan.

We ought to have a sane policy on how to deal with them - I'm in favor of Ron's "trade, friendship, and diplomacy" style of treating people. At the same time there isn't any really important reason for us to be associated with them and some important reasons why we shouldn't. So the question is then, how do we help them to help us without having to get too associatively involved.

I suppose the best thing would be that the OWS people all decide that Austrian Economics is where it's at and devote themselves to being intelligent, educated Ron Paul supporters ..... before they go and start occupying again. But wait - they are already! In Brooklyn, shutting down a foreclosure auction.

This followed by Adbusters calling for a Occupy Chicago G8 and NATO Summit. May 19th is when they meet but they will stay a month.

OK, then. At this time, the only constructive thing I can think of doing is convincing them that the thing that would scare the 1% the most is if they occupy Voter Registration Offices, constantly, and everywhere. Maybe get a bunch of Ron Paul supporters who, through no fault of their own, look more like OWS than RP people, spread them strategically throughout the crowds in singles and small groups, figure out the human megaphone protocol and like the Pied Piper, lead them to the Voter Registration Office. Establish a tradition, do it every day as a field trip type thing for them.

At least that would amuse me for awhile - I suspect amusement is going to be harder and harder to come by as summer approaches.
