The Occupy Wall Street volunteer kitchen staff launched a “counter” revolution yesterday -- because they’re angry about working 18-hour days to provide food for “professional homeless” people and ex-cons masquerading as protesters.

For three days beginning tomorrow, the cooks will serve only brown rice and other spartan grub instead of the usual menu of organic chicken and vegetables, spaghetti bolognese, and roasted beet and sheep’s-milk-cheese salad.

They will also provide directions to local soup kitchens for the vagrants, criminals and other freeloaders who have been descending on Zuccotti Park in increasing numbers every day.

Huh, I guess they aren't all socialist like the media says they are.

They should get compensated for their time an hard work? GREEDY CAPITALISTS! oh...wait.

They're learning that Socialism doesn't work in real life, at least the kitchen staff is learning it.

Really? In what way does this have ANYTHING to do with socialism? Was the food bought with tax money? Was it taken using govt force?
This is actually charity and voluntaryism.

In a poll that you guys like to trot around, 14% of the OWS crowd believes in a 0% capital gains tax. That is the exact opposite of socialist. I imagine there is a large spectrum of people in between as well, who are simply mad at the banks and criminals running our country. In fact in the Peter Schiff video, they did a quick poll and found about 90% of the people in the crowd were pro-capitalism.

Have you ever thought Frank, that maybe you've been spewing establishment propaganda this whole time?

That is an awfully strong judgement when you don't even know the individuals making these statements.

Not really.

Organizers took other steps to police the squatters, who they said were lured in from other parks with the promise of free meals.

A team of 10 security volunteers moved in to the trouble-prone southwest section of Zuccotti Park in a show of force to confront them.

Yet they bitch when police do the same thing to them? What happened to the homeless guys freedom to peacefully assemble?

Did it ever occur to you that Occupy Wall Street are Useful Idiots?

Of course some of them are. Some of them are coming down with moveon.org and unions, and they are promoting a socialist agenda. Then you and the media focus on that instead of the rest of the protesters who are mad at the banks, corporations and how they collude with our government, left or right.

So, people who are disrupting whole neighborhoods, peeing on peoples steps, shitting in the park, making it hard for people to sleep, create a police force in order to stop people from disrupting their disrupting-ness. Yeah, I would call that being a hypocrite.

And there is the big difference between charity and socialism.

So you're saying they should be forced to feed them? All they did was confront them about them taking free food and not being part of the movement.

You said "they" are hypocrites, as in the kitchen staff. For the kitchen staff to be hypocrites, where this charity is some how comparable to "socialism", the kitchen staff would have to be.. socialist, right?

I met a guy at the OWS protest who was an anarcho-capitalist, and him and his anarcho-capitalist friends like to work outside the govt. to help people through a program called "Food not Bombs" to feed people. They were feeding people at the protest, and they were anarcho-capitalists. So do you have ANY proof that these people are socialist to begin with?

They being organizers and by what the article says it seems they are confronting them about a lot more than taking food.

I know there are all kinds of people there, but you can not say that the organizers creating a police force to intimidate a group of people is not hypocrisy.

And yeah just about every single person at OWS here in New Hampshire was a socialist and/or communist. I have spit in my face to prove it ;) (spit from them yelling in my face about how evil Ron Paul is)

I don't see anything immoral about anything you just said. I do see something immoral about what they are protesting.
