Sounds a pretty warmongerish, don't you think? I already knew that he didn't promise to get the troops home by 2013, but what he said about NATO and the way he stresses world unity in the war on terror reminds me vaguely of the "coalition of the willing."

Also, even if I did believe in Global Warming, I wouldn't appreciate the reference to my home, Beantown "As we speak, cars in Boston and factories in Beijing are melting the ice caps in the Arctic, shrinking coastlines in the Atlantic, and bringing drought to farms from Kansas to Kenya."

Obama and McCain sound more alike every day. I hoped maybe that Barack would be the lesser of two evils, but I can't tell anymore.

"Mr. Gorbachev, TEAR DOWN THIS--erm....wait a minute...."

I'm sorry, I couldn't concentrate over the sound of his arse-kissing.

Did he do a JFK?
Ich Bin Ein Berliner? hahah :D

One of the comments is well worth repeating..

tlen0117
"can't imagine a democrat speaking against communism today."

Im sorry guys, but he gets my vote over McCain.

McCain really showed his colors this primary season, and the way he treated Paul at the debates just infuriated me. BTW, I will be going to St. Paul, and I will support Ron Paul throughout all of his endeavors, but I will not stand by and watch McCain win even if it means voting for the less of the two evils.

both lose if third parties start taking 5% or more of the vote. eps if the greens and the libertarians get over 5%!

I didn't study the speech in depth, just gave it a quick read through.

However, I don't see anything "ominous" in this speech.

He's saying that the USA and Germany should be partners. Whats the big deal? This has been our policy for 60 years.

Cooperation with our allies is not a bad thing, folks. In fact, its vastly superior to the "screw y'all" sort of cowboy diplomacy we've seen over the last 8 years.

I don't see any call for "one world government" or black helicopters or any of that.

Where are you seeing calls for "one world government" in this speech?

QFT  How is Nobama the lesser evil of the two? I knew the lovebama ASSKISSERS on rpforums would shine on this!!!

He'll unite the world!

... Under one world government...

Tell me something, is Obama running for U.S. President or Secretary-General of the United Nations? Or does he want to be Emperor of the World. He hasn't even been officially nominated by his own party yet. How presumptuous!

Yes, I read it warmongerish as well. Barack "There will be more wars" Obama. He also intends to divert troops and the war to the "Real War on Terror" in Afghanistan (and Pakistan, he says, who we are not at war with now). This is classic 1984, switching enemies and diverting attention. Now all the Democrats will be the war mongers because they will refuse to stop believing in him and his B.S., failing to withdraw support for him, just as many Republicans did with Bush.

The lesser of two evils is still evil.

The latter. That is why he wore the U.N. Blue tie.

will (wĭl) pronunciation
Used to indicate deliberate intention or wish: He will unite the world under one world government.

Tell me something, is Obama running for the United States of Empire, or for the military arm of the New World Order? You don't think they are going to us his rhetoric in anyway shape or form to influence other people from other countries? He doesn't even need to be the official nominee of his own party to do that... What the ---- is he doing now? Ohh presumptuous?
presumptuous
adj
Definition: very self-confident
Yes... And..? Would you care to make a wager? ;)

Just saw on MSNBC there was an estimated 200,000 people in attendance! He can't even draw half of that in the country he's running for president. How in the hell can he draw this many people in Germany?!

"He showed his embracing of one world, mostly he showed arrogance or ignorance. He spoke of how our military can be used for good – for example, sixty years ago our airplanes dropped, not bombs, but food and candy…of course, that isn’t what we dropped sixty-one years ago… Lew Rockwell

I'm sorry, but the idea of a politician being the source of hope is too much. And Obama as the Messiah is just plain laughable, yet we can expect to see this kind of coverage for the next year or more, since I am sure he easily will win the presidential election. The last time we saw this kind of political adulation was when the Roman emperors claimed to be gods. That will be the next step for Obama. Stay tuned. - Obama and the Keeper of the Secret

Why is it I always need to spell things out for people? The editors at Lew Rockwell seem to agree with me

He definitely sounded like this was his theme.
Watch for more of this when he goes to Paris.

Yeah, and you know the sad thing? I didn't see the speech, I haven't even seen nor heard one bit about it on the news... and you don't need too. If you know the end game, filling in the middle becomes much easier.

The dropping of food and candy was a reference to The Berlin Airlift. Most Americans probably didn't even know what he was talking about, but the Germans did.
