Obamacare Debate Live on CSPAN

DOH - ran a search for CSPAN, and right after posting there the thread shows up. Please feel free to merge as appropriate.

Sam Farr (D-CA) just said that without reform people will be trapped on Medicare forever.

How ever will we survive if we have to be trapped in a different entitlement program

Healthcare debate:

Rep. Patrick Kennedy (D) just compared the Socialist Healthcare Bill to the Civil Rights Act. Voting against Healthcare would be like voting against the Civil Rights Act?

I really hate the Democrats.

"every year, nearly 100,000 children are killed by electrical shock, for the good of America the time has come to ban electricity in America forever!"

"Mr. Speaker, if you outlaw electricity, then only outlaw's will have electricity!"

"It's for the children!"

"outlaws!"

"children!"

"outlaws!"

Lulz. Pretty good summation.

I just heard on Sirius Radio that people in the peanut gallery had to be removed by the Sgt.-at-Arms --- hope there is a CSPAN clip of that.

This will go on all day/night. Time to pop a beer and make some popcorn. Already have a butt on the smoker. So thats 9 hours worth of free time.

Motion to reconsider passes.

Ryan (R-WI) motion to reconsider . . . vote to "table it" passes . . .

23 Dems voted with all Republicans NO on this rule - not such a bad sign.

We are watching these shenanigans . . . at least 23 Dems may get re-elected for caring to not BS the public on these rules.

WTF is this we want Americans to have the same benefits as Congress members. Are we really to believe that the coverage will be equal to Congresses coverage.

LOLZ!

When will the final vote be?

Congressman Nunes (R-CA) said on CSPAN Washington Journal this morning that there are 209 confirmed NOs
(only 7 more needed to kill the bill) with 28 undecided . . .

So Obama and Pelosi have some vote buying to do . . .

when the votes are bought . . . they will vote

2:00 PM: The House will debate for one hour the rules of debate for the reconciliation bill and the Senate bill.
3:00 PM: The House will vote to end debate and vote on the rules of the debate.

3:15 PM: The House will debate the reconciliation package for two hours.
5:15 PM: The House will vote on the reconciliation package.

5:30 PM: The House will debate for 15 minutes on a Republican substitute and then vote on the substitute.
6:00 PM: The House will vote on the final reconciliation package.

6:15 PM: If the reconciliation bill passes, the House will immediately vote on the Senate bill, without debate.
