Milley joined the faculties of Georgetown University and Princeton University in February 2024.
At Georgetown, he will mentor students as a distinguished fellow in residence with the Security Studies Program in the School of Foreign Service.
The Princeton School of Public and International Affairs (SPIA) appointed him the Charles and Marie Robertson visiting professor and lecturer from February 2024 until June 2025.[180]
He also became a senior adviser to JPMorgan Chase bank and joined the Harry Walker Agency, a speakers' agency.[181]
