No mention of "Economy" on campaign website?

According to the media, the "Economy" is the #1 issue for voters. I am going canvassing in Michigan next weekend, and I wanted to see Ron Paul's stance on our economy.

To my amazement, there's no section on the Issues dropdown devoted to it. I know that RP's position on the Economy is that the government should stop meddling in it, but I think that he needs to have a section devoted to articulate his views on this clearly.

Absolutely true...this is the primary reason I backed Ron in the first place...he IS the only fiscal conservative in the field.

He really, really, really needs to tout this more often. Play that up. The war, while correct, is not resonating as well as it should due to Faux and conservative media, but they can NOT deny the "Spend Less, Tax Less" conservative mantra. If they do, this revolution would heat up like nobody's business.

In this one voter's opinion, Ron should really focus on the economy, the economy, fixing the economy and how the war plays into the economy.

Save Iraq for the general election...in my humble opinion.

I guess it depends on what you think "economy" means.

Seems to me, most the stuff is directly related to the current economic situation and Ron Paul never misses an opportunity to show the linkage between the various challenges.

This is also ABSOLUTELY true. Yet it is one of the failings I see in his message.

This expects the average Joe SixPack to connect the dots. Debt and Taxes? That means "economy?" Whoah..."crack another beer."

I adore the way Ron can string Iraq, immigration, healthcare, taxes and inflation together in a logical, common sense way. However, most people don't think like that.

They look for buzzwords...and "It's the economy, stupid" is about as buzzword as it can get.

He needs to find a more general tone, then dig deeper into the details. I fear sometimes he is too smart for the electorate...if they don't "get it" in a couple of seconds, they might tune out and listen to the latest Hannity sound bite.

Just my opinion, but I'd hate to see him lose because his ideas are too heady for people...they are COMMON SENSE ideas, but they are couched in complex realities.

When I design Web sites, I think of multiple paths for people to access data...why wouldn't they have an "economy" section that basically says what (and links to) all the sections you circled discussed. Then the reader can get a quick exec summary, and delve deeper if he or she wants.

You have to put your message up to the scrutiny of the lowest common denominator, and then ensure you have enough depth in it to allow the brightest reader to keep on digging for more information. And depth of information is something Dr. Paul has no problem with...I just think he might have an issue scratching the surface for the less interested/intelligent.
