NH Recount Petition 388 & Growing

Here's what I've figured out about recount so far:

DEADLINE FOR FILING FOR A RECOUNT: FIVE O'CLOCK TOMORROW, FRIDAY, JAN 11, 2008

THE COST WILL DEPEND ON THE CANDIDATE FILING.

IT WILL COST MORE IF THE CANDIDATE GOT LESS VOTES

THEY WILL KNOW THE COST FOR EVERY CANDIDATE BY CANDIDATE LATER TODAY

IF A RECOUNT IS REQUESTED THEY WILL RECOUNT ALL THE VOTES FOR ALL CANDIDATES IN THAT PARTY

What I think we really need is a recount of both parties. What if votes are being siphoned off both sides electronically? That means a candidate from each party has to request it. Any candidate on the ballot can request it, but the less votes you got, the more it will cost. Call Kucinich{/b] or Mike Gravel for democratic side recount.

You need to recount both parties because you need to recount Obama. I don't think Obama's campaign will want to do this but we need to do it.

someone is saying another candidate is filing for a recount now. Albert Hughes.... never heard of him

Channing... I don't think people are willing to donate to someone that they know nothing about. I think Ron Paul's organization needs to do this. I think this guys is just trying to get some free money out of the RP movement.

They can donate to grannywarriors and have them use the money for Howard's recount.

I don't think the Ron Paul campaign is willing to do this and we're running out of time, so I think this may be our only option.

Have no fear, God works in mysterious ways sometimes.

The same granny warriors that just had a chip in for a transmission and then turned around and sold the bus? Yeah I see that happening

How many signatures is needed for action?

I have to be honest, having set this petition up it did occur to me that there should be a "number" which, when we get to it, results in a flood of people requesting that the campaign pay attention and get this recount done.

Part of me figured that 10,000 votes would probably be enough to do that but I also thought that it would be quite fun to get 1 more signature than Dr. Paul (reportedly!) got votes in NH - 18,727

Having seen how many signatures we are now getting (only around 530 but climbing fast!) I am thinking that it may be better to just be able to demonstrate the sheer momentum by hammering it until 24 hours has passed and then bringing this to the campaign's attention.

Anybody got any other thoughts on this? Anybody know where Dr. Paul is tomorrow so that we could maybe print the petition out and hand it to him?
