NH Gov. signs HB157 adding chronic pain to qualifying conditions for cannabis

On June 16, Chris Sununu, the Republican Governor of New Hampshire, signed HB 157 into law. The law adds chronic pain to the qualifying conditions under therapeutic use of cannabis. Rand Paul endorsing Representative Eric Schleien was the primary sponsor of the bill. The bill passed the Republican controlled House 301 to 47. It passed the Republican Senate 18 to 5. The act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.

The bill adds this statement to the RSAs.

(2) "Qualifying medical condition" also means moderate to severe chronic pain.
