Newsweek: Ron Paul on why he's still running for president.

Will you encourage your supporters to back McCain in the general election?

"I'm not going to tell them what to do, but I honestly can't imagine any of them supporting him. That would be a tough sale. The odds of him all of a sudden coming to one of our rallies and being cheered on are not very high."

For the lulz.

given that mccain and ron paul are the two candidates going the distance in the
republican party with delegates to win, as obama and hillary also are doing likewise
in the democratic party, we all do have to thank ron paul for his true grit!

Why oh why oh why oh why do Americans not vote for who they know has got it? Someone said they like to vote for winners. He is the winner of authenticity, integrity, honesty, kindness, isn't that enough?

Obviously too much. They don't seem to believe they deserve that much. Wish they'd think of the kids...

There seems to be a typo/misquote in the article.

I will keep campaigning for as long as people are supporting me and the money is there and that's what they want. I feel badly about just quitting. We have 30,000 voters on our list in Pennsylvania, and if I just quit tomorrow--and people can make a case for that: how long should I do this?--I would feel badly. I would feel as though I had let them down. So for me, it's indefinite.

The bolded line does not make sense with the rest of the paragraph, he hasn't quit yet. Perhaps Newsweek wants him to quit though. lol
