From the beginning, Dr. Paul's campaign has been driven by the energy, generosity, and creativity of its grassroots volunteers. It's through your efforts that we have momentum headed into Iowa and New Hampshire. From Dr. Paul and everyone on the campaign: Thanks!
As the primary season nears, we're pleased to announce the appointment of Matt Chancey as regional coordinator for Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Georgia.
Matt has experience both running political campaigns and working with advocacy groups such as the Conservative Caucus, Gun Owners of America, and the Right to Work Committee. Matt came to Washington in 1995 in the wake of the GOP's sweeping congressional victories with the expressed goal of abolishing unconstitutional federal programs-he had assumed that the Republicans were serious about cutting spending and diminishing the size of government. He soon discovered that, in his words, "Ron Paul stood virtually alone for the Constitution and the principles that built our country."
Throughout the coming months, Matt will work hard to match your energy and dedication to Dr. Paul and his message of freedom.
-- Let's keep up the fight!

This is fantastic news! I have known Matt for many years, and he is exceptionally talented and well connected. He recently led a successful underdog campaign to elect an Alabama Supreme Court justice.
The South is where, sadly, war fever and president-worship too easily take hold. I personally can't see how Ron Paul can win the Republican nomination without substantial support from Christians and social conservatives, and that means the South needs to be taken for Ron Paul. And Matt is the man who can do it.
