Nevada, second largest county (washoe) convention today

Hope everything goes well today as well as for the rest of the RP delegates in Nevada.

From what I know, Nevada has great organizational ground game with delegates.

Kick some GOP ass, guys!

um.... dont they know how many delegates are suppose to show? should they have a space for the max number number? thats just poor planning... well incompetent planning actually

you expect too much from the gop

Right after the prayers the chairman GIbbs asked all the supporters of Santorum to stand. i'm in the main room with 1600 delegates and a scattering of people stood up. Then he asked for Gingrich supporters to stand. And another smattering stood up. Then he asked for Romney supporters to stand. A shitload stood up. And I thought we were going to be outnumbered. Then he asked for the Paul supporters to stand. ANd the room literally exploded. It was pandemonium. From my vantage point near the front, it looked like we have as many as Romney.

There are probably about 2500 or 3000 delegates here. 1900 or so can go to the state convention. We're hoping not that many will self nominate and there will be no elections for state delegates.

wrong thread guy...lol we can do both here?

BrooklynZoo's also at the Clark County convention today. Haven't gotten a text from him yet, so it's good to know our delegates actually showed. Hopefully they have a working understanding of Robert's Rules of Order. If they went to any of the meetings for delegates, they should be sitting in places that should help us out overall.

i dont know alot about the political process so please excuse me, i was just wondering how do they select the county delegates that go to the state convention ?? is it possible that ron paul gets the most delegates to the state convention?

fuck yes, i love you guys! thanks for showing up! I'm going to share this story!

See if you can get the opinions from other RP'ers to see if they could see a clear difference in domination over the Romney delegates.

All Right! Looks as though both Washoe and Clark Counties are well represented and especially after the lessons of '08, no worries about well informed supporters of Ron Paul being present and battling forward. Personally, I attended the first NV County Convention, Lyon County, last weekend and I think we had a good showing there, too. It's a tiny county in comparison, but happy to report I will be going to State. After '08, I am anxious to be there!

Go Washoe and Clark...it's your time in the sun.

Those in Washoe County should ask the chairman, Dave Buell, what the real numbers were in the popular vote in Washoe County. He's the one who said that the numbers he gave to the state GOP were different than the numbers they reported. And they never corrected them.

Our delegates should ask for the ACTUAL straw vote to be released.

Wonder what the establishment would do lol
