Not too far away from me.

I've pulled that maneuver about 15 times in my career.

My broke ass couldn't do it now, that's for sure.

It ain't easy, it's tricky, he's a brave kid, good work!

Watching this news spot I instantly wondered "and how many things like this happen and go unreported every single day".
It's important to remember once in a while that there are still heroes walking among us - not the fake badge wearing ones but the real ones, and they don't generally get this sort of attention.
Case in point: the jet ski driver. That guy put just as much effort and skill into this. Maybe even more.

Real American hero! And of course he's headed to the Navy. :) Note that he said he didn't even think about the danger. And that's why young men are tapped for dangerous jobs.

I used to love that area, but I've noticed with each trip I take there it seems to be getting closer and closer to Boston

That was a peeve of mine the years I was operating towing and rescue boats.

We'd routinely put out fires, save people from drowning, rescue stranded vessels...the list was endless.

But we'd never get any credit.

Even worse, we'd pull off the dirty work and the media would give credit to the badges, who did nothing but write up a report after the fact.

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to jmdrake again

It blew up during COVID, when the communists locked down every state in the northeast, except for NH.

I want to know where they are getting the money.

A property just down the road from me, with the same acreage as mine, just listed for $830,000.
