@osan that's not an argument against secession.

That's an argument for putting restrictions on what we allow CA to do after they secede.

There is no reality where the rest of the US would let China take over CA and aim nukes at us, regardless of whether or not CA is in the US or not.

Secession isn't a free pass to begin building up existential threats to your neighbors.

I take your point, and in principle I agree. But the reality is not likely to be as you seem to think. Once CA is free, they are free and they will likely dishonor their pledges to, say, the Monroe Doctrine. Then we would be forced into a corner: throw up our hands or send in the troops. Consider human history as a statistical guide. It is a good one. Then compound that with the rank extremity of the flakey and abominably corrupt average Californian. Their stupidity defies credulity. China will by all means have leverage over the "leaders" and they will also make all manner of promises to the dopey residents, who will predictably suck the bait like pros. And we will complain and they will tell us to fuck off, and then comes that corner; the choice. In a better world, secession is certainly the right. In this reality, there are far too many powerful malefactors at work. They are tech-enabled and cause-oriented. To dismiss that as inconsequential is to make a fool of oneself; to court destruction.

We don't live in an ideal world. We live on a prison planet that is in Theire hands. Theye want America reduced to dust and they don't care how it comes about, so long as they win. Only dopey people place trust in even so much as the village dog catcher, much less those moving the pieces on the board of global politics. We are a predator species. That should be borne in mind at all times. Civilized life and humanity is an unnatural combination and they don't play well together. We are rotten, hairless apes who will eat their own children if it is seen as providing advantage.

The best we can do now is to get smart and get an attitude of grim intolerance of even the least "government" corruption, and then immediately call violators of your rights and their oaths to account. Then we hang them by their necks and reduce their families to penury on the assumption that everything they have is ill-gotten. Put those conditions in place and the bullshit will all but disappear and "government" would shrink as if by miracle.

That's not going to happen, so I hope everyone enjoys their servitude, Donald Trump notwithstanding.

Except, there was a prenup, written and ratified by all parties in 1789, and the woman (cf the occult symbolism of the Capitol building) is in violation of all of those prenup conditions and WTP have surely abided by our end of the deal on pain of life in prison or even death for potentially even the most minor of infractions.

So, yeah, WTP get everything (it belongs to us, by definition), we kick the DC whore out, and establish a new government just like WTP did in 1776. They even thought ahead to write it down, that it is the right of WTP to "alter or abolish" government which has become hostile to the ends for which government exists and to establish such government we think most likely to secure those ends.
