YEAH, young people first!

Microsoft and NBC want you to know that there is a Real ID card in your future, as this segment that aired on the Today show demonstrates.

Earlier this week, we learned that Microsoft filed a patent “for a system to monitor the health and mental state of computer users,” a system designed to “automatically detect frustration or stress in the user via physiological and environmental sensors, and offer or provide some assistance accordingly,” sort of the way the “instructress” in Orwell’s 1984 offered “6079 Smith W” assistance via the telescreen. NBC, owned by death merchant General Electric, also has a vested interest in Real ID, as they are, as a Pentagon “defense” contrator, in the business of “domestic intelligence gathering,” primarily through the Pentagon’s Counterintelligence Field Activity unit. Last August, we were assured by Def Sec. and former spook Gates that the Pentagon would shut down its controversial domestic spying database known as TALON. Sure. And I have a bridge for sale on Ganymede.

So unpopular is the Real ID scheme with the plebs, Michael Chertoff has lately taken to vigorously pimping the plan. Chertoff tells us Real ID is a fantastic idea because it will “prevent somebody from evading a watchlist and getting on an airplane and blowing the plane up because they pretend to be somebody else,” never mind how unlikely this is, even with dim-bulb patsies such as Richard Reid, the infamous “shoe bomber,” wandering around, waiting for orders from headquarters.

But if you actually believe al-Qaeda is lurking in the shadows with shoe and liquid bombs, you might take comfort in the fact the Ministry of Homeland Security will phase its scheme in over the next few years, regardless of what most people want. As for those handful of states that have declared their unwillingness to participate, their residents will no longer be allowed to get on airplanes or possibly travel by car to other states. In order to do so, they will need a passport — you know, the new passports with RFID chips embedded.

It would seem the only way to avoid this nightmare would be for those states opposed to secede from the United States.

Now there’s a good idea.

Watch the video in the link.

Ron needs to get on national tv and ceaselessly BLAST this. I mean a nonstop assault on the very NOTION of this shit. If we don't accept this, we basically aren't citizens. I imagine they'll implement prison time punishments once this thing is in place.:mad::mad:

I wonder how many people will be frying their cards in the microwave

What's it matter? You'll pay money to buy one, probably pay hefty fees as soon as the next SS officer checks your papers, possible jailtime. This is not something that can be defeated AFTER the fact. Why do you think they set a 10 year total deadline for implementation? They know they have to just wait it out. Sheep only wake up for a fight once or twice a lifetime, if that. Libertarians will be long gone by that time, either moved away (to another UN-dictated place) or killed for 'terrorism.'

I would literally ask the government to put me in the electric chair and kill me before I ever hold a REAL ID card in my hand.

All sheep need to be tagged, especially if you have a lot of them

I already have said when the real id comes to florida i will end up in jail for driving without a license unfortunately.

It's just not going to happen. If enough people flip out over them, the media will have to say something eventually. Right? ;)

One way to fight this stuff

I haven't seen any serious effort to try this strategy --

Everytime a privacy concern like this comes up, come up with a like issue and say it should apply to government officials.

Its always cheaper to apply something like this to a small set of people. For instance -- We ought to monitor our elected officials 24 hours a day, we're paying for them, and it will prevent them from taking bribes.

Or we should tape record all officials conversations to reduce corruption, etc.

If this was persistent, I think the demands to cut down everyone's privacy would go way down :)

The solution to this problem isnt too hard to grasp. Do not get a Real ID. If you cannot leave the state due to your refusal, sneak by. If they try to stop you (and infringe upon your rights), wage war on them.

If they try to force you into getting a number, wage war on them.

If they come for you, wage war on them.

There's already been a handfull of governors striking this thing down. I know Montana's and our governor, Mark Sanford, has.

Do you notice how the MSM loves to try and tell us what is inevitable ? Like the winners of elections and such ? We need to make our own reality and stop allowing our realities to be dictated to us.

The Real ID is coming, and some day it will be a real world ID, you can resist, and a Dr. Paul Presidency will slow it down, but in the end there will be a One World Socialist style government and we will all be lowjacked. We have a while still, decades for certain.. but most of us will live to see a United World Government.

Run with this take it to the next level get people to take action!

I agree, I will not accept the real id. I don't fly on planes or go into government buildings anyway.

Great idea...except when you are requested for your ID and refuse to comply and then get a citation which requires you to go to court, um where?? Oh yeah the Federal building...It is a hook, a no win, no way out situation unless you fly totally under the radar. Good luck, I'm with you on this...

There no way im going to accept REAL ID. I'll live out in the middle of no where if i have to as long our damn government keeps getting involved in crap like this.
